East New York Posted January 18, 2012 Share #1 Posted January 18, 2012 Due to capital construction, all Queens bound trains are running express between Marcy Av. And Bway Junction. All skipped stops can be accessed by transfering to Manhattan bound trains at Bway Junction.

Urbanfortitude Posted January 18, 2012 Share #3 Posted January 18, 2012 And now the fannies run over there just to ride the express to the Junction Which probably wont be much of an express run if they're doing track work.

East New York Posted January 18, 2012 Author Share #5 Posted January 18, 2012 It should be ending right about now. I will find out in a few on my home, but when I posted that I was pissed! Halsey is my stop. ENY wasnt in my plans this morning. And its cold as hell on that damn Bway Junction platform! They need heaters bad. But hey, what can you do? The work has to be done. Which probably wont be much of an express run if they're doing track work. It was actually pretty fast. There were also manhattan bound express trains. I didnt see anyone on the track. INDman Posted January 18, 2012 Share #9 Posted January 18, 2012 Isn't this just a mid-day GO? Nothing really seems that special about it. Any idea what is actually being done?
Queens Surface Posted January 18, 2012 Share #10 Posted January 18, 2012 Yeah it is a midday G/O until 3 PM, don't expect a fast ride if they are doing track work, there will be speed restrictions between those areas.

Urbanfortitude Posted January 19, 2012 Share #12 Posted January 19, 2012 Isn't that why most people wait on the enclosed area upstairs until the train comes? that area is one big wind tunnel. It doesn't really help much of anything.
East New York Posted January 20, 2012 Author Share #13 Posted January 20, 2012 Isn't this just a mid-day GO? Nothing really seems that special about it. Any idea what is actually being done? I don't know. I just moved back to the city, and subways aren't my specialty. It was definitely planned work, but I have no idea what they were doing. Isn't that why most people wait on the enclosed area upstairs until the train comes? Under normal circumstances yes, but when you pass your stop and have to go to the junction, it's really pointless when you are going across the platform to the other train.
