70 YO Women Struck by Bus

NEW YORK -- An elderly woman was struck by a bus while crossing a Queens street Tuesday, leaving her in critical condition, police said.

 

The woman was rushed to North Shore Hospital. She suffered head trauma.

 

The bus was attempting to make a left turn onto Springfield Boulevard from 69th Street when it hit the pedestrian, according to a preliminary investigation, transit officials said.

 

 

The bus operator remained on the scene, police said.

Something MTA has been belly aching about. Left turns and hitting elderly people. Seems these two don't go together.....

 

I apologize for that post. It was in poor taste and was only meant to joke at the original poster. Let's hope for a speedy recovery for the victim.

 

70 year olds don't heal that fast (do they heal at all, or is it just patch work????), especially after being whacked by a 44,000lbs bus.......

 

Poor taste jokes can be good ones...........
