CPBO Posted June 25, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 25, 2008 NEW YORK -- An elderly woman was struck by a bus while crossing a Queens street Tuesday, leaving her in critical condition, police said. The woman was rushed to North Shore Hospital. She suffered head trauma. The bus was attempting to make a left turn onto Springfield Boulevard from 69th Street when it hit the pedestrian, according to a preliminary investigation, transit officials said. Let's hope for a speedy recovery for the victim. 70 year olds don't heal that fast (do they heal at all, or is it just patch work????), especially after being whacked by a 44,000lbs bus.......
