28 r42s stored out of service in 207th street yard as well as a few r32's

Hello. I visit 207th street often and there are 12 R42's out of service in the yard just sitting there. They are the last cars from jamacia yard back from 12/11/09. There are also a few r32's mixed in there 3720-21, 3717-16 and one pair which seems to be partially stripped, 3676-77. I remember seeing 3720 in the jamacia yard back in 2009 with a sticker that said "this car pending scrap, not ok for service" on it. All of the 12 r42's have that as well. There are also a few pairs of r42s in the eny yard which are out of service. There are two pairs of r42s in coney island as well 40m 4460-4665. And 4790-91. Does anyone know the future of these cars? IDK about 4460/4665 (R40As are retired) and 4790/4791, but the R42s and R32s at 207th St. Yard may be scrapped soon; they have been removed from the roster. The ENY R42s may re-enter service soon after the active R42s return to ENY.

They are going to be scrapped. Most things that head to the 207th Street Yard at old age is gong to the trash heap, or they will just sit there.

they might be keeping em for parts to help keep the running pairs working longer untill we can get some newer cars on the finally.

Oh ya, I saw that video by R33WF/NYCREDBIRD, and he was probably talking about 3746/3747.

I heard that 4460/4665 are preserved and there is even an interesting story about how some went through a lot of trouble to save that pair.

Hold up 4790 4791 are also still in service...seen it on the an hour ago. 3677 and 3676 is also in service, i rode it last week

Ok, I'll trust 4790/4791, but I doubt you saw 3676/3677.
