jay.rosenthal 1 #1 Posted October 12, 2012 When the schedule instructs you to transfer at STM for the Danbury Shuttle when coming from GCT, is that the actual shuttle or are you back tracking on another train to South Norwalk? Thanks
mark1447 685 #2 Posted October 12, 2012 Depending on what time you catch the Shuttle. About 3 Shuttle runs go to/from Stamford on Weekdays, as per the timetable. The rest would be the bomber. All other times, you would just go on the New Haven Bound train and get off at South Norwalk for the Shuttle. http://www.mta.info/mnr/html/planning/schedules/pdf/NH%20MF%20REV%20OFFICIAL%20JULY%202%202012.pdf
Shortline Bus 1,121 #3 Posted October 12, 2012 When the schedule instructs you to transfer at STM for the Danbury Shuttle when coming from GCT, is that the actual shuttle or are you back tracking on another train to South Norwalk? Thanks Not to mention many people in Danbury just drive across the state border to either nearby Brewster or Southeast,NY for the Harlem Line for NYC service. In addition weekdays, a local bus running between Danbury and Brewster as well. Thus why the Danbury "shuttle" only has limited service.
jay.rosenthal 1 #4 Posted October 12, 2012 My question in particular refers to the Danbury connection at STM from the 3:07PM from GCT. Too lazy to look up the number.
mark1447 685 #5 Posted October 12, 2012 (edited) Well I'm too lazy to post it.... As the answer is clearly inside the timetable... Edited October 12, 2012 by mark1447

My grandma does that all the time... trains come more frequently and there is no toll.

That is correct there is a rush hour bus that runs between Brewster and Danbury from AM rush to end of PM rush.

nostalgia 102 #11 Posted November 13, 2012 When the schedule instructs you to transfer at STM for the Danbury Shuttle when coming from GCT, is that the actual shuttle or are you back tracking on another train to South Norwalk? Thanks From GCT, you take one train to SoNo for the Danbury connection. If you got on at a local station (Mt. Vernon East...Old Greenwich), you would ride that train to STM and transfer for the New Haven train stopping at SoNo.
