Lance Posted March 20, 2014 Share #2 Posted March 20, 2014 The truck slammed into the overpass if these pictures are any indication. Credit: MTA If only there were some kind of sign that indicated the maximum clearance for large vehicles. Nobody pays any attention to anything nowadays. peacemak3r Posted March 20, 2014 Share #3 Posted March 20, 2014 From my understanding they do have signs of height restrictions for bridge crossings. Even so, they usually cut a few inches below the actual height for safety as well. Must truckers do obey these type of signs as well because if not it's their jobs. Then you got the careless drivers. GojiMet86 Posted March 20, 2014 Share #4 Posted March 20, 2014 I got to see the damage while I was riding 7788 south. Funny, my friend and I stopped by Mannyville a week ago and discussed the issues buses on that street would have going underneath the el/viaduct. FriedChikkin Posted March 23, 2014 Share #5 Posted March 23, 2014 That's crazy. That shifted the tracks over a couple of inches, too.
