161 New York Posted November 12, 2014 Share #5 Posted November 12, 2014 I was there in 2011 and flew ACY - > ORD on Spirit when the service first started. The airport was a little dated, but clean. While the terminal itself is small ,the airport is quite large, according to Wikipedia it was an alternate landing location for the Space Shuttle. LGA and JFK are a complete different story. I once went through passport control (immigration) in JFK's Terminal 3, which is now closed. This was essentially a basement from the 70's with red velvet ropes with matching carpet.
