MTA Bus Operations: Scrapped Equipment List

The following units are at the scrap yard: 

* 4162: white front regular MTA Bus unit also at ECH for local service

* 4345: Eastchester and Zerega training,  

* 4353 with 4358: previously at JFK

* 4465: Queens Village to Zerega as training bus

 

Said retired units have been towed and now present/confirmed at the scrapyard: 3964, 4164 and 4586

- 4202 was towed to ECH today, it had a Farebox removal yesterday night before 12 AM at JFK

Next Generation units at JFK converted for parts: 3976, 4563

Because of how fast new buses are coming in, most of the NG’s might as well be gone by the summer.

4647 is not retired, I just saw it on the Q6. Same farebox as well.

I think it’s because once the units listed on here were on the first page update, that means that it’s no longer in NYCT/ MTA Bus system and that we know it’s a done deal for some. But, numbers do revive on time being like 5011 and 5012 as New Flyers as they are at JFK vendor.

4563 is not retired btw

4473 from ENY that has been oos since early of March of this year is now back in service as of today, bus did some trips on the B42, and is currently on swing. 
 

4187,4200-4201 and 4473 are the active units so far that ENY has, 4478 is getting maintenance on, and 4479 is still to be not tracked and not seen as of February.
