Harry Posted March 15, 2016 Share #1 Posted March 15, 2016 Union members will begin voting on a tentative agreement with NJ Transit as soon this week, which gives rail workers represented by a coalition of 11 unions what they had sought and more, according to published reports. The terms of the contract are similar to what was recommended by two Presidential Emergency Boards, but unions received concessions on the capping of insurance premiums and a 21 percent wage increase over the eight and a half year life of the pact. Those pay increases average 2.5 percent annually and will be backdated to 2011, when the last contract ran out, according to a report on NorthJersey.com.
