7LineFan Posted March 1, 2009 Share #3 Posted March 1, 2009 They can't kick you off the train before they go around the loop. On the other hand, you're not supposed to ride between cars.

kngmn Posted March 1, 2009 Share #17 Posted March 1, 2009 1 thing i have to say: Lexington Avenue line is maybe the worst line: homeless people are getting rise up up to 70%. in midtown between 42 street grnd centrl to bowling green. but everyday each week when i take the 6 line. I see homeless perosn sleeping in the 6 line car. when the 6 line go out of service. where does the homeless people go. why isnt NYPd doing anything. there many homeless person sleeping the subway station; why dont they live homeless shelter. 1. people have right to go around southferry loop. just like people go around city hall loop

INDman Posted March 2, 2009 Share #19 Posted March 2, 2009 South Ferry Inner Loop in non-revenue trackage, just like lay-ups. Thats why you can't ride that loop.

SubaruWRX Posted March 2, 2009 Share #22 Posted March 2, 2009 So why can I ride the City Hall loop? To ride it it just brings you around to the up-town platform Or better yet take a tour which is lawful to do

Alex L. Posted March 2, 2009 Share #24 Posted March 2, 2009 So why can I ride the City Hall loop? Because the Brooklyn Bridge loop IS revenue trackage. When a train goes into the Bridge loop, it MUST come out on the side and it MUST do it fairly quickly, otherwise it starts backing up traffic on the road. When a train goes into Bowling Green loop, it does not have to come out at Bowling Green; for that matter it doesn't even have to come out again anytime soon, as the road can be sent to Brooklyn while it sits in the loop.
