Since Astoria needs frequent service, won't they wait 8-9 minutes for the N (if left alone)? They already are waiting 8 minutes (9 minutes for the N and Q respectively)..

  The would be overcrowded beyond capacity if it ran alone there. It's not entirely an issue of how long people want to wait.

  The would be super packed if it was alone... I ride it all the time. Normally, when the is running during the weekdays it is 4-5 mins in between trains not 8...
