That's typically only used to turn around a very late bus before it reaches Cooper Union. Used to see them occasionally at Hunter with the old "M102 24 ST" sign up which got changed about a year ago.
When normies get kicked off of a train because the doors stopped working, that opinion changes real fast. Just last week the lost three trains in one day with mechanical problems. Those longer wait times start to pile up.
It says a lot about the state of manufacturing these days that such a common sense component was not already developed and installed on these buses from the jump.
As much as I personally would like to see an R211 on the (really its just I wanna see full color bullets again) there is no need for Broadway to get them. They can get R268s in ~10 years.
Any combination of would be ideal landing spots for the R211s given CBTC install and crowding conditions and one simply needs to ride one of the current sets on the to see it in action.
The extend of the discourse is just going to be this in circles until something actually happens.
They stopped for a while because the track they used to enter the system was under construction. They accepted another R211T set last week so we should be good now for further deliveries
Seems like the MTA is officially moving forward on this. They are "inviting vendors to participate in an RFP process for the procurement of consulting services for the R262
and R268 Subway Car Contracts" I would imagine the 2 year contact terms means they expect to put out an RFP for the cars by then.

Actually I think he would approve of that given the alternative, as long as the remains as frequent as it usually is. The shuttle buses on 4th get universally panned by politicians and residents in the neighborhood alike.
That's not a problem. Could I get the destinations on a single line of text like a 62 sign though?
Also could I get an R211 sign?

Looking at the video that everyone is talking about, the door lights did not actually glitch out. The train was using the local program on the express track so the train thought the doors were going to open on the left but actually opened on the right. This suggests that the door lights and Door Open sign are linked to whatever program the train is signed up for.
Could I get an R62 side sign
Gun Hill Road, Bronx
Hanover Square, Manhattan
teal
and if you're taking R211 side sign requests, could I get GR in white on a green circle with Navy Yard Ballpark and OR in black on a orange circle with Eastern Market?
Thank you!
While we're on the subject of teething issues and troubleshooting, I'd also like to note that the R211 is the launch customer for this new version of the Alstom OPTONIX propulsion.
To add on to what Fan Railer said, crews have been instructed in the R211 service bulletin to only return the train to Pitkin Yard when a problem occurs on the road.
