Great. There's a fight at our Downtown Terminal, and it's these two guys against three other guys, then they knock security on the ground. So what do I do, I call 911. I now regret it because now I'm parnoid that they're going to be calling/harassing me. Anyway, the police arrived and everyone gave their statements. I left to catch a bus. I really hope they don't need me. Point of the story, my concious gets the better of me sometimes. And to whom it may interest, many recorded the altercation. Both Teleport and West Shore have low ridership, due to West Shore being a few (isolated) homes, along with an aging retail center, and the Teleport being relativly inactive. Combine that with the isolation of the area in S.I. and you'll see why hardly anyone (even in cars) in S.I. travel in that direction.

No. The one bus that was painted was a test to see if it reduced the corrosion of the steel sides on MCI's. The MTA never continued following that.

So what do you propose for Jackson Heights? I personally as stated would send the B24 to 48th & Queens Bl, then follow Roosevelt to 81st/82nd, following the Q33's route. The B48 would pick up the B24's former North half of the route. I would however appreciate it if some members answer some of my questons. 1. Is my B24 proposal (Williamsburg - Kosciusko - Woodside - Jackson Heights - LGA) too long or redundant? 2. What are ideal headways? 20 mins would suffice in my opinion. 3. Given that 20% of the route duplicates the full length of the Q33, should the B24 compliment it or replace it? 4. Would LG Depot/MTA Bus allow the above? 5. Would the B48 expansion via Greenpoint Ave to Sunnyside be viable for Greenpoint?

As mentioned, the B48 would serve Greenpoint to 46th St @ the 7, however I'm debating if my proposed B24 should run local in Queens via Jackson Heights. I think it should so it could get more usage. For reference, look at Threxx's proposal of the Q68. My B24 would generally follow it east of 48th St. As mentioned, it's already circutious, and will probably be better operated by a private company.

In my opinion, it would be much more beneificial to have the B48 run on Greenpoint Ave via Greenpoint, and terminating it at 46th Street, while sending the B24 to LGA as it would provide better coverage within Brooklyn.

Dammit. I crashed until 12 this afternoon. I get all collected and shit so I could go to the mall. However, my trip revolves around the last few runs of the day. As I type this, my first bus is late as hell. Should he be late arriving to the terminal, my whole trip is f**ked up. Here's to hoping my 2nd bus departs late.

You know, had he answered the question, he could have saved himself embarassment like this. I will add one thing though, this dude has always loved the MTA, and resented NICE. It's apparent that he just tries to reasonate with NICE, reasons being that he's stuck with NICE, and he wants to share views with others. IDK.
