With all do respect, you have some great proposals and ideas. Really you do. At the same time, somes of these proposals and ideas are essentially pointless. What I have seem to notice is that you will be one of the first to defend new technolgies (water buses, straddling buses, extensions) that have not yet been proven, and seem to want to implement without any further testing/analysis. Some quick advice, perhaps you could put more thought in what you can achive much more realistically, or with current resources. You would be taken a lot more seriously then.

I'll just state something. I'm sure there is riders from Todt Hill, but likely you can count ridership using the fingers on your hands. The point I'm trying to make is that you can't nessacarily expect the TA to provide exclusive service to one area, even if it's for coverage reasons. What good is a route if it only garners 5-10 riders a trip. Lastly, if I choose to reside in Todt Hill, I would probably expect transit service to be indirect. So honestly, I would have no problem walking to the neighboring services. And in my opinion, there are many other areas in SI, and the other boroughs that are share the same qualities and offer better transportation options.

It may seem rude, but continue to remind them about problems. Sadly, that's the only way action is taken.

If it were re-routed, it would be irrelevant to the B35, and at the LTD stops. people jump on whatever arrives first.

Ok. Your proposal and effort were fair, I will give you that. Regarding the S51, I don't reside in S.I. so I wouldn't have any first hand experience with the route. I can only assume that it's proably used as a feeder from St. George to South Beach. Additionally, Midland Beach folks may use it as a feeder to SIR & Hylan, especially now that the S79 was implemented. Of course I could be way off, but it doesn't look like many people are riding point to point on the route. Not to put you on the spot, but Checkmate, could you perhaps elaborate on the route, please.

Agreed, but you know when a B/O is just stalling out his trip for no one's benefit other than his/her own.

Regarding a route through Todt Hill, I don't think it wouldn't be used at all in the neighborhood, but it would be very wasteful to allocate resources to a low utilized route or segment. The current set up suffices, for now anyway.

From what I have seen, at least two schemes will be offered. Orange and Red, or Local and Rapid respectively.

Though the frequency could be better, the gap is fair, at least in my opinion.

You have patience. I think that's what Aclea was saying, before his thread was merged with this one. I essentially had that down in my proposal, which is now dead. Will this officially run at all?
