  1. Not sure if I'd say loads of mileage I think there around 275-300k which isn't much when the 05s and RTS go to 500+
  2. Not sure if you should just go blaming the depot itself, it's up to road control / central console to handle it, and those personal may be from other depots and locations.
  3. Yes, if you need to GO, call up on the radio your allowed unlimited 20 minute personals as long as you call it in... 95% of the time we try to make it to the end of the line but if not even if your in service if nature calls, you gotta answer lol. After all the bus is our office. It's kind of tough sometimes but we try for be considerate. I like to drink alot of liquid but you try to think of the time you will end up and the terminals and adjust your intake accordingly.
  4. Yeah after pulling in for meal break when you go back out, they give you the appropriate bus.
  5. Yes but not everyone will, there are alot of runs that have local and express in them on the same day.
  6. Yes but he asked if the drivers are paid more. Is why I said pay is the same hourly no matter what line.... There are local runs over 12hrs as well so in theory just cause someone drives express does not always mean more pay.
  7. Pay is same hourly no matter what line you do
  8. I would believe so being that pick up and drop off in NY, once you service a different state you need to follow Federal regulations on road time / rest / hours per week work. You can travel through another state like the MTA busses via NJ to NY as long as there is no pickup or drop off in NJ it doesn't apply. It's something silly like can't be over 10 or 11 hour spread per day (not even work hours but spread time) been awhile since I touched the 89 so I don't recall exactly what it was.
  9. Negative all S89 trips are straight runs. They are not interlined/misc with ANYTHING else. There is strict FDOT regulations that need to followed, mainly about vehicle time. I forget exactly what it is but being it's interstate and not intrastate there is a set limit of hours worked by each OP on the s89.
  10. SI still got a couple of the old shelters up in fort Wadsworth, and yes much better design.
  11. During peak am rush the headway at one point is every 4 minutes... Bunching is inevitable, I'd say.
  12. Nyct for me. Sorry for confusion just figured this was the new York City bus section lol.
  13. Right, even if we're running empty on drop off section we are told to do the whole route just in case there is a breakdown or unforseen event of the busses ahead of you.
  14. Might of only stood with the mci on the bridge because the speed limit of 45mph so no one should be speeding and up until maybe 6months or so ago all the locals were capped at 45, now they are down to 40. But that aside the Nova has good power when above 30mph but below that the NG and 3G are smoother for sure.
  15. None of the section of the NJT where our busses operate are 65mph last time I was on it. It was 55-60.
  16. Anyone know what the changes in the 2018/19 Nova will be compared to the currently running 15/16s
  17. Blame it on the roads that there is no avoiding instead of the the drivers.
  18. They stopped giving us those announcements to call it in a week or so ago....
  19. Could still be used for people that want to meet up and carpool?
  20. I thought the capital budget was a separate set of books 🤣
