They're starting to put them on 4th Avenue (the Bluetooth ones)Are the countdown clocks being installed in Brooklyn the true "countdown clocks" (A Division), the bluetooth ones or just tell the time? Not sure, and they're popping up everywhere.

That makes no sense. Just make a program for N to 96th St.In the AM rush, Ns will run up to 96 st, signed as Qs via Sea Beach to 96 st.
In the PMs, they'll return south in service 96 st, signed as Ns.

It really bothers me how you have that one bright ass car, cause then the lighting on the other 5 or 10 cars is really noticeable. The bright car by far. It makes the entire train look extremely tacky.

I would die if that happened, since I live on that line.Better yet, perhaps to Canarsie LOL...
No, I doubt it'll come close to what some of our resident trolls have been pitching lately.

Can Park Av fit double decks?
Only two tracks can, I'm not sure if it's the other or inner that can accommodate them.

My idea is to basically extend both the and the to 23rd Street. Since that part of Manhattan is expected to be a popular area in the next 5-10 years, I think that they should have at least some kind of subway service. The station would basically be like Jamaica Center, with the on top and the on bottom. Also, the would have a underground storage yard between 16th and 20th Streets, which the needs severely if they ever wanna add more service.

Looks like they cancelled the planned budget cuts.

I was there Sunday and the last round trip was funny. We left 2nd Avenue almost a half hour late because one of the cars was screwing us up. Then, halfway into 34th Street N/B, the train stalled for like 10 minutes. It was lowkey funny tbh.

It seems wifi is now available in a lot of stations.only 3 or 4 stations don't have in Manhattan.Plus 20 or 30 in Brooklyn.
For some weird reason, all the stations along 34th Street (Hudson Yards, Herald Square, and Penn Station) don't have wifi. I would think at least Hudson Yards would have had it by now.

Bay Parkway. Will the (W)s that start at 86th start at CI, Bay Parkway or some other stop due to the construction?
I'm specifically asking what stop they'll start at, if anybody knows.

Did any see that the seats are white instead of blue !
That would actually look cool and would be a nice change for once, but we all know the MTA wouldn't do that.

Sorry for being sidetracked, but does anyone know the best shutter speed for SBS signs
1/125th or lower. Same goes for the multicolored Hanovers.

8313-8316 is back in service on the . You can tell this set hasn't seen service in a while cause the cars look relatively new.

I might be jumping too far ahead, but does anyone have a clue as to when 5987 (or any XD60) will enter service on the Q44?
Either this week or next week.

Yes and even Montague still has it's ups and downs. Eastern Divison equipment (except for the 143's and 160's) are still banned from there due to clearance issue's which is why we don't have the running to Prospect Park anymore.
That's actually not the main reason why the to Prospect Park anymore but you're point is still valid.

I recently saw a R160 on layup at Astoria Blvd, which was signed up as a to Canal Street. The sign says:
Astoria LCL
Broadway LCL
Canal St
I think the codes were updated with every AAS update, since there was always the possibility of the line returning.

The Bombardier 142s were bought in by rail, bought by Freight from Upstate NY down to the Linden Yard area, NYCT diesel tows them up the ramp onto the Livonia Line and then towed to E180th for prepping.
If they used the same method for 179s they would have to be towed over the line to Broadway Junction then to West 4th, reverse there to be towed to Pikin for prep. Bringing the cars in at 207th the tow is a straight shot down to Pikin.
I really wanted them be delivered by rail though would have been cool seeing subway cars on the Bay Ridge Branch.
They can't do that because Linden Yard is A division only.
