  1. It is on the TENS website which you should have access to. Otherwise, ask your TSS to print out one for you. From this point on, most if not all questions you have should be directed to your TSS or a union rep.
  2. This may seem a bit farfetch, but I would try to contact your Congressmember by phone and see if they can help on their end. Unfortunately, Transit will not hold a spot for you. Good luck.
  3. They take your measurements during schoolcar. However it is currently slow. Transit just recently changed their uniform vendor and they are still ramping up production. However, 130 Livingston and some terminals will have spare uniforms handy. Just hopefully in your size.
  4. Just to give background. When I came out of schoolcar, they threw me into the midnight tour along with several classmates despite my asking for the PM as my top choice in my preference sheet. A few months later, a classmate of my submitted a request to switch to the AM tour and got it, and I did the same thing and went to PMs. Edit: Keep in mind, this was at the height of the pandemic when there were tons of jobs available. That may not be true for you as train operators ahead of you graduate out of schoolcar and fill the holes. I am currently working a pick job I won from the vacancy bids. When a new pick starts, there will be jobs available to bid as people retire or are out on restriction. My train operator is out on medical leave and probably won't be back for awhile so I should be able to keep it until the current pick ends coming up next month.
  5. This was when I was still on the midnight tour as XX last year. You'll know what your job is 3 days in advance for the most part. There are 8 hour jobs and as you can see above, there are "penalty" jobs that pay more than 8 hours.
  6. Your typical week can look something like this. Note: Top part is night differential. Bottom is the hours paid for the job.
  7. Unfortunately, you're just going to have to wait again. By the way, unless you really liked your employer, a two week notice is more of a courtesy than a requirement.
  8. Throughout your time in school car you will be staying for the whole 8 hours.
  9. Unfortunately, you will not. The subway runs 24/7. You will be at the mercy of the crew office in any tour and reporting location of your division. You will not have a set time and location until you get to pick a job or win a job on the vacancy bid.
  10. Yea, I hear ya. When I got the call for my first drug test, they said there were classes in November and December of 2018. But January came and I heard nothing back so I thought I messed something up or failed the drug test and thought it was the end of it. Then in April they sent another letter out of nowhere to get drug tested again. Their lack of communication of offering updates is certainly not good.
  11. IIRC, you should stay at Tier 4. Train Operator/Conductor are currently Tier 6.
  12. It sounds like you did your due diligence. You didn't try to hide it and sent the information along.
  13. Go to the post in question, click on the three dots and it should give you the option to edit.
  14. 1. Entirely up to you. You can file a complaint with the TD, superintendent, union, etc and have it on record and investigated. In the end, you shouldn't have much trouble down here unless you're looking for it. 2. It has been changed that at minimum you will get days on the street. No need to leave the cell phone at home. For the most part, don't have it out in the cab. 3. If you can lift your feet, you can step over the third rail. 4. As written extensively before, most of the reporting locations for the A division is in the Bronx. B division pretty much everywhere else. What will matter is whether you have a car or not and what part of Manhattan. That's entirely up to you to decide whether you want to travel to the various locations you will be coming from. 5. From what I read from others, Pitkin, Livonia, and Lenox yards can be dangerous. Do what you gotta do.
  15. Depends on what they need. If they let you choose, it will go by your seniority. You are allowed to switch divisions including going to the C division aka work trains/refuse/etc after two years. Transferring divisions or anything that requires training for that matter will require returning to schoolcar. Myself personally, I was one of the last few to allow to pick the B before everybody else got thrown into the A division.
  16. The front desk will direct you to the waiting area for the MAC. You will hand your medical results to the MAC receptionist. When the doctor sees you, they'll have already gone over the results and cleared you, and you will be directed back to the other side of the floor to be appointed by Ms. Vargas. The certified number is for the people currently in consideration for the job. Your list number does not change. Ms. Vargas tells everyone it'll take a bit of time. You'll probably be at PS248 for a week or two before you're sent out to the yards, so you'll have time as they send it out next day air. If you can't order by next week, I would definitely inform schoolcar.
  17. I would base your decision to join a division by reporting location rather than OT. That said, there's plenty of open jobs in both right now due to the shortage of T/O. Either the dispatcher will ask you to do an extra trip or cover a switching/yard job. or you can call the crew office if there's anything open outside of the location you're clearing from. The surefire way to do overtime is to call the crew office for a job on your RDO.
  18. $39.81 is next year for Train Operator (Road). Currently, top pay is $38.75. Base pay is $37.97. Presumably, newcomers will be on the Yard rate in which "top pay" is $37.23, so base pay probably ~$36/hour.
  19. If there are still spots in the October class which there should be, yes.
  20. The seniority numbers were just updated. So yours should have been updated as well If there is still an issue you can call a few numbers. Pick office number for T/O (718) 694-4292. You can also contact a union rep. Try anyone on the TO list but Danny Hay. He's retiring. Zach is also out in Las Vegas for a union convention. http://www.twulocal100.org/rto-contact-list
  21. Either you were sent a letter stating you were skipped due to the 1 in 3 rule or you need to contact Transit and ask what's going on.
  22. It shouldn't be a problem anyway since I believe they checked our license when we took the test.
