Jesus... because Vernon by itself TOTALLY makes sense to tourists... Can't imagine the look people gave this sign... sometimes I just don't get the MTA...
If you're referring to the 2015-16 XD60s, 5364 failed during its testing period, thus delaying the order. As for the 2015-16 LFS', SEPTA had to recall theirs (I believe, not too sure), and the MTA decided to have our buses spec'd like SEPTA's to speed up the order.
Apologies if this was asked and answered already, but is there a certain benefit for having CNG, hybrid, and diesel buses being based out on different depots / routes, or is it due to the depots themselves not being able to handle a certain type of bus?
So I happened to see an R142 running on the yesterday... It may have been a rerouted , but I'm not sure since i saw it passing by in the tunnel. No program seemed to be set on the train...
Nope. If I'm not mistaken (which I don't think I am) the SDS test only happens on one car of the entire train, while all the other signs (on other cars and the front / back) are set to whatever program the T/O sets it to.
The MTA has various codes that aren't even used at all anymore. If they can have a "Bx26 to Fordham Center" code for their buses that's still programmable to this day (even though that routing was discontinued a long time ago), then surely there can still be a program still in existence.
