  1. I know it doesn't sound like it's worth it financially, but I think you should get the training over with now and switch over to full time...
  2. I think once you go to pre-employment and they pull your driving abstract, they will instruct you on what to do in your situation. From what i understand they don't allow pending tickets, but they will reinstate you once it clears. I think it's four years after the list is established? I'm not sure when #7304 was actually established. Sometime last year, maybe? What list number are you by the way?
  3. I didn't hear back about the boss, yet. Are they calling people down for that? I'm not sure of the procedures, but don't they have to score everyone first before they call us to take it? Maybe, I'm wrong...
  4. I got 74 right...I hope my score goes up a little after the final answer key. I need a better list number than the ones I got for MTA Bus and OA!
  5. I would say next year, but I think they are still in the 200-300 range. My co-worker got called in about two weeks ago and her list number is 2**. I would think they would be in the 500-600's by now. It will be awhile.
  6. Yeah, you have to really have good eyes and pay attention to detail...what is actually expected of a professional driver...MTA ain't playin!!!
  7. I was wondering the same thing Sb1914. I think in July it was around the 200's? Not completely sure. I'm curious where they are now on the list. They are calling people down to process while still giving the BOSS!
  8. @46Dover:thanks for those choices... @161NewYork:yeah, I know everyone loves MCI buses, but I dont...much too big for me...just a matter of personal preference...
  9. Hey, does anyone know if Market St. Garage has any openings? Or any garage that doesn't have MCI's(yuck)...
  10. Thanks for the advice...I don't know when I take the test, but I'm tryna pretty sure it's this coming week!
  11. Congrats triton3k! I passed on Day 9...I did need that extra day...how did your road test go? Any advice...I'm really nervous! I'm really gonna practice the Air Brake Test that's my weakness:-( Congrats on the road test! YAY!!! Congrats, you made it triton...YAY!!!
  12. Well, day 2 and 3 went a lot better than 1...but I still have trouble with mirrors and setting up turns. I know that there are people who catch on to all this stuff and qualify on day 7...but honestly, all these things takes months or maybe years too master! It's a lot to absorb in only ten days...
  13. I started today as well, my day one didn't go so well...
  14. Thanks 161...DUH, I forgot that this week was a holiday...lol...and I got the part time info from this http://web.mta.info/nyct/hr/2301.htm I did receive a letter last year that if I was interested in part time I need to sign the letter...i forgot to ask HR if that still applies...
  15. Good evening, just a couple of questions about the training...I was scheduled on Monday,6/29 for orientation, now it has changed to Sunday,6/28. How does that affect the training schedule? W ill it still be Mon-Fri of that week? Also, if I pass the training will I have part-time hours while on probation? I hope so because I really can't work a full time schedule right now...
