  1. Saw 8373 working the 21 headed for 136 while I was in a cab going back home today; looks like it is loaned over to the Coliseum.
  2. You beat me to it, @NBTA! Only question though: was this on the W4, the W20, the W20X, or the W21L when the accident occurred?
  3. I think the sign size should be extended to the right.
  4. Yes, it was. The word station was not included in that one.
  5. It is like the elevated stairway entrance sign at Fordham Road or 233 Street, where they are accessible. East 238 Street station would be on a single line in small lettering, but only the service signs would be big and next to, not under, the station name.
  6. That is too big; more like the one for Sutter, like this:
  7. Yes. I wanted the station sign to be a station entrance sign, like what you did with the last station entrance sign before mine. I did not make that clear to you.
  8. I have a question regarding the back door mechanism of the recent blue and gold New Flyers that have been introduced (that is, the XDE40 production order): Are they prepped for Bus Rapid Transit with all door boarding (with the back door Vapor modification) or Do they have the original Vapor Door LOCAL system where there is often a wait of maybe five seconds or so (the one that has been in use more for some reason on the Volvo NovaBus orders except for the 1200 grouping)?
  9. Like how the Bronx Park East pillar sign is stacked up, something like this: Bronx Park East
  10. Can you do a station and pillar sign of East 238 Street? I want the station sign to be East 238 Street all on a single line and the pillar sign to be East 238 Street stacked on top of each other. In addition, I want a pillar sign of Fulton Center and Atlantic - Flatbush Avenues, also stacked on top of each other.
  11. How did the 31 turnaround at 233 and 238 work? I seem to remember how the 31 then terminated somewhere behind the Westchester Square Yard that the Local used before currently turning near Lane Avenue. I believe it was somewhere at Einstein Hospital.
  12. Keep the late night shuttle anyway. It would become such a problem to operate. The train cannot easily be eliminated.
  13. That would not work even by a longshot. The train is only there to pick up any passengers left behind by the train, the train can be at any place at any time (they could only afford to run the Dyre Avenue at night), the Pelham Bay Park Express is there for faster service to Pelham Bay Park starting from East 177 Street (there is a reason why the Express was expanded to a weekday peak operation), the Flushing Express does not need to be reduced even further, while the only way that the train can even go to Second Avenue is if it had a weekend schedule (it currently does not have one).
  14. It varies depending on the sections that are activated (at least this is what I believe is happening right now): *Continental is the original name for 71 Avenue, but the stop itself is often known as 71 - Continental Avenues - Forest Hills. **Kew Gardens stands for Union Turnpike, though the stop itself is known as Union Turnpike - Kew Gardens.
  15. 1) How was it so easy for a person to get struck by a train on the 4 Av Express when the tunnel walls separating the local from the express are more or less designed to prevent it from happening? 2) Why did they not send the train to run via Culver after B'way Lafayette, and the train to bypass the incident entirely to run via Crosstown so that it could run to Kensington?
  16. This pandemic practically broke the East's announcement programs, changing between a loud voice from Lexington to the more gentle voice from Broadway - 7 Av. I do not know why they haven't come around to add more space on the computers that hold the announcements, though the fact that they managed to add space for the announcements that hold the R188 announcement program for the train was a wise move. The R142/A need to get more space for their programs, but I doubt it would matter now as a result of the R262 that could come any year from now. Besides, I knew about this during the early mornings that I needed to take the Bronx thru Express from 238 Street; the last time I took it was the winter before the pandemic and they sill managed to have Jessica on it during the first few months of the pandemic from March to around August. The Franklin - Medgar Evers update should have been implemented much later than they did.
  17. Thanks for everything you did. Do you do any I Beam or circular pillar signs?
  18. We're good; it fit right under. I even credited you for the work.
  19. For the service sign, I meant 800 by 200 pixels, not 1800. Given this, could you shorten it like this: Woodlawn via To Woodlawn Mosholu Local Jerome Avenue, all times I think I pestered you so many times about this.
  20. I discovered I need something changed. Do you think you can convert the aforementioned signs into Luminator Horizon and shorten the Hugh Grant Circle reading for the 44 to just Grant Circle? I want the side small version of each (90 by 7). Also, can you do this service sign (this should be on the modern black with white lettering display, all Helvetica text, and in a smaller dimension - 800 by 200): Woodlawn and To Woodlawn - Jerome Av, all times. Burnside Av via Weekday rush also to Burnside; Mosholu Local express after 167 Street
  21. I think putting spaces in between the signs on individual boxes would be a good fit, like how I noticed there was space between the aforementioned signs you put there with the Paint and the Helen programming when you asked me about the type of program I wanted.
  22. I want the Helen Programming. Besides, I noticed I flipped the Q44 street directions: For the Bronx Zoo - West Farms Square direction, it is supposed to be via Main St - Flushing via Hugh Grant Circle +Select Bus For the Jamaica - Merrick Boulevard direction, it is supposed to be via Hugh Grant Circle via Main St - Flushing +Select Bus
