  1. The swapping and borrowing is similar to Staten Island's depots. However, the shortages are taking a toll for routes at the MTA. At least 2 weeks ago, the M101 was experiencing less operators, and waited sometime for the bus to arrive to bring me home.
  2. As of right now, 3266 still has the EC sticker, even though it's assigned to Yonkers. There seems to be an goof because they forgot to replace the EC sticker with theirs.
  3. Prevost will no longer be in the United States after deliveries are finished by December. https://www.masstransitmag.com/bus/vehicles/news/21264813/ny-prevost-to-cease-plattsburgh-operations
  4. The following buses does not have any screens: 4184, 4215 (CS) 4009, 4018 (MV) 4364 (MCH) 4126 (MJQ) 4455 (LGA)
  5. 8842 was transferred before at CS for training. I'm not sure for JA as they already were trained on the LFSes. I'm guessing that they need training on the rear doors, or maybe maintenance.
  6. 5869 no longer has the WF sticker on the left side of the bus. OH had now replace the sticker with it's own sticker.
  7. I think the MTA needs some funds to have flood prevention in depots to prevent future flood related weather. Castleton and Queens Village are the most prone to flooding, and they need some protection to avoid fleet shortages. I am sure if it's a good idea or not, but this concerns me, and others.
  8. Note that the interior shot is from 2451. I didn't notice that the light cover was loose.
  9. NICE is still going with Gillig to replace the remaining NGs, and all 3Gs. I don't know if there is sources for 33 new XN40s.
  10. I am saying that if people are worried about taking the subway, because remember subway crime had increased this year, and some are hesitant about riding the subway. If the subway wants to be safe, then add more security to each station. However, knowing NYC, they add security in specific stations like Time Square.
  11. For my suggestion for service to Rikers Island, the Q100 should stay in place. One reason is because it's limited, and can get you to Rikers quicker. And second, the Q105 should be added as an option as local service to fill-in the gaps of the Q100 and Q102 respectively. Also, the MTA should not cut the Q101 to Manhattan. This can cause riders to not have an alternate choice to get to the subway, but to use the subway. In most instances, if I am worried of using the subway, I would rather use the bus instead.
  12. I'm not sure if this is mentioned, but if the MTA wants better express service, my proposal will be to run buses anytime of the day (at least 30 minutes). This especially includes the QM21 from Baisley Park, the QM3 from College Point, and the QM24/34 and QM25 from LaGuardia. Also regarding about the Queens bus redesign, I am concerned on how express service will remove many stops, in order for the MTA to have flexible service. An example would be that I rode on the QM6 back to Manhattan from LIJ Hospital. During my ride back home, there was no one on each stop after LIJ, making it feel like a Super Express. The routes should also not cut back times, and rather do 24/7 bus service, just like with other local/limited routes around the city. I don't know if the idea would be perfect, but this is just my proposal.
  13. If I'm not wrong, the assignments will be this (Subject to change): Jamaica (JA): 8755-8814 (60) (Directly displacing most of Jamaica's XD40s to other depots) Queens Village (QV): 8815-8871 (57) (Directly replacing all OGs, and either replacing or displacing some NGs to MTA Bus) Casey Stengel (CS): 8872-8963 (92) (Directly either replacing, or displacing 89 NGs to MTA Bus, plus 3 buses for fleet expansion)
  14. The following buses does not have any screens: 5826, 5873 (TU) Tuskegee Airmen had received their first 5200-series LFSAs with ViaNova displays from West Farms, 5264-5265.
  15. Some images are out of order. I apologize for that. Imgur was acting crazy.
  16. Disregard. I saw the comment on it earlier in February.
