  1. What would you say are the best bets for New Jersey service? I think to Fort Lee and to Newark are decent starters.
  2. DjLilFace222 meant to state the core purpose first and other effects next, I’m assuming
  3. I’ll have one: (X) Via Triboro Local (X) Via North Shore Local (X) Yankee Stadium-161st Street Oops, almost forgot- large
  4. Latter 100%. Maximum deinterlining while maintaining connections is the key.
  5. I’d rather have SAS to South Brooklyn and to Willamsburg
  6. I think the via QBL/8th Local is the best bet for RBB because you can run trains to Lower Manhattan and also not need to use the bypass.
  7. How about on QBL, to Astoria, and to 96th and South Brooklyn? can run as in your plan.
  8. This works, but what would you do about the merge to QBL?
  9. This works perfectly, I will say that the 36 tph on the local only works if the is taken off Willamsburg. I will discuss this in the Proposals thread.
  10. QBL needs to be de-interlined and service should go to Astoria. As part of a removal of reverse-branching I would run service express via 53 and local via 63. service would run to the Rockaways and to Northern Queens via Jewel/73rd Ave. As an alternative an service could run to the Rockaways from Jackson Heights, allowing service to Jamaica-179th.
  11. Not exactly in the recent loop in terms of car movement but I think the is getting R179s or R160s from one of the yards that’s getting R211s. Have the R211s‘ destinations been announced yet?
  12. The forum talks about this one a lot but public and MTA not too much, or at least not enough. or to the Bronx/3rd Ave.
  13. Won’t quote you @JeremiahC99 but I think 4 tracks of trains should not all terminate at Broadway Junction. You can run to Jamaica, Canarsie, or Euclid Av. Also wasn’t the map in question from 1929 or are you talking about a different map? For the near future I want to get as much use out of the el as possible and only demolish the necessary areas like the Myrtle Junction and the Cypress Hills curve. From Broadway Junction to Crescent St, the el should be replaced by a 3-track subway along Jamaica Ave, allowing or trains to Jamaica Center. We can also connect the Jamaica el to the Jamaica subway, and add a connection for the rest of Fulton Street from the el. I wrote that terribly but I hope you can still understand
  14. Here’s a simplified version of @KK 6 Ave Local‘s plan because I really liked that plan: from Fordham Road to Bay Ridge via 3rd Ave, SAS, Nassau, and 4th Ave via Montague from Jamaica-179th Street to Brighton Beach or Coney Island via QB, Bypass, SAS, Manhattan Bridge, and Brighton Local/Express (It will run both like the old as the is deinterlined to West End and the are to Williamsburg) to LGA and Fulton to the Jamaica Line past Broadway Junction in Queens Blvd express via 53rd, local via 63 to Metropolitan, to Bway Junction Basic deinterlining plans in most places, just becomes
  15. Good concept. Light rail can be kind of an in between for SBS and subway. Bronx and Brooklyn should have some too.
  16. I would want to eliminate the reverse branch at 72nd Street, so in order to have express service to the Bronx and Queens, I will 4-track the SAS in the first phase of my plans from now on. This allows: and 2 SAS services to the northern end/Bronx/125th. 2 more SAS services with the to Northern Blvd/ Bayside. SAS routings to the Manhattan Bridge and Williamsburg Bridge, as well as Lower Manhattan.
  17. The terminal problem can be solved by having the run as normal and have the or or (whichever you settle on) run on the freight tracks instead, and then 4 tracking that section of the freight line. Also what do you mean by different plans for Utica Ave? service?
  18. Yeah most of the Jamaica el should be torn down, with taking the myrtle line and taking Utica. will be my Second Ave Locals and will run to Fulton while (U) (Y) will take the Manhattan Bridge. North end TBD. The express tracks I propose being next to the local ones in phase 3 of the line, but underneath the in phase 1 and 2. South of the Manhattan Bridge, there will be 2 tracks as only the run there.
  19. Are you allowed to have second accounts?
