  1. been a conductor for a year and 3 months its a great job to have
  2. pre employment and medical will not be on the same day I can guarantee you that much
  3. if you dont have any medical issues and youre not overweight you SHOULD be fine
  4. they usually pick people at random for training first priority was the crews now slowly the rest, might be cause NTTs are already there but who knows
  5. thats not how it works. Everyones supposed to get trained on the 211s at some point
  6. speaking of flagging I actually got to pick as a C/R after a year... well technically I got picked BY flagging as those were the only 11 jobs left keep me in ya prayers
  7. they shoulda just kept the 160 trucks and avoided all this but it is what it is
  8. you WILL have good days here and you WILL have bad days here, sometimes youll have REALLY BAD days, but thats any job. You just have a reason here to tough it out when it gets bad When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Those with children and S/O's keep in mind, the job will be a lot harder for you in terms of work/life balance, please keep that in mind
  9. youll be taken off the list after 90 days if you dont clear your medical hold by then
  10. youll learn all the stops as you keep working dont worry about that. Id say the hardest part is memorizing all the steps on how to cut out doors abd isolate cars during both practicals
  11. your first email will be from either HR or some other person that works in transit( trust me youll know what it looks like)
  12. it means youre still on the list, did you request to get reinstated by accident?
  13. itll be from nyct maybe hrops maybe an actual person. that just means your number wasnt reached yet. I hope you signed up for the october OC exam
  14. theyre gonna have to give me an iv bag for being on the train that long
  15. if youre ever taken off the list they restore your name but to a different list than the active one, and every once in a while transit recertifies that list. and they usually do it about 1-2 times a year and they recertified it already earlier this year
  16. if they sent a request to get added back to the list then theyd have to wait until transit recertifies a new list, which is most likely not happening this late into the year
  17. You would have to email DCAS, but being that the test expires in February, they most likely arent going to recertify the list
  18. you wont be on the train for all of your shift, in an 8 hour shift about half that time is cab time. the other times are things like lunch and small breaks between runs. Also a lot of jobs are more than 8 hours
  19. theyre pretty thorough, you need to pay that ticket if it even exists. the job part just remember to the best of your ability
