  1. This is why we need to invest in mental healthcare. Too many people out here are killing themselves and others because they are depressed or just not right up there. Just my two cents. Carry on or reply as you please. Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  2. I always read your posts with an English accent for some reason. Just pointing that out. Anywho, just a random question. How long does it take to load a wheelchair onto an MCI? I'm asking because I never see that on one of NJT's MCIs. Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  3. These XD60s are coming in quick [emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. You guys realize this is the BRONX bus proposal thread right? Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  5. That would cause a lot of confusion. It's already confusing since both lines go to Throggs Neck.
  6. The will still be on 53rd. That upper level of 50th is only gonna be used for late night service.
  7. Speaking of 8th Ave, I'd have the run Express from Canal-145th and stay local in Brooklyn. The and can cover the local portions of 8th Ave/CPW. Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  8. As will the other Manhattan garages and the Bronx. The question all of us are probably wondering is which of those two boroughs will get them first? Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  9. I woke up at 12pm, I'm going to look for this tonight.
  10. R160 Exterior please. Can I also get an interior R142: WAKEFIELD-241 ST THE NEXT STOP IS 72 ST Sorry for the extra request. Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  11. Okay the 19 I can understand because it's close to Hale, but the 36...yeah I'd keep an eye on that. Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  12. Can I get: R142: TO WAKEFIELD-241 ST BRONX LCL 7 AV EXP R160: 168 ST 8 AV EXPRESS FULTON ST LOCAL NORWOOD - 205 ST CONCOURSE LCL 6 AV EXPRESS
  13. This is a question for you & 553 Bridgeton. How do the drivers and maintenance staff like 16001 so far? Is there any problems with it? Is it good, bad, so-so? I'm asking because I don't want to see another fiasco like we had with the DesignLines.
  14. They should get rid of a few stops. It's basically making every stop the regular M23 is making minus three. I just realized the Bx6 is gonna be West Farms' 1st SBS route. I feel like the next one to get SBS after the 6 is gonna be either the Bx15 or Bx19. Right now I just hope they get some artics for the Bx6.
  15. I have an 8ft iPhone 6 charger. I don't think it'll be a problem for me.
  16. At first I was gonna suggest giving the 9 to WF, but they would treat it like the 36 and seldom put artics on it.
  17. If KB were to give up routes, they should just give the Bx9 & Bx41 SBS to GH. I'd say give the 9 to WF, but knowing them you'd see CNGs on there more than they should be. I'd say give the M100 to TA but they may not have any buses available for it since they have the M15, M86SBS, and M101/2/3 to deal with. Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  18. You can say that again. Them joints move a bit slower than those 2002-03 MCIs. I'd hope they're planning to put those ISX12's in these CNGs.
  19. And here I was thinking I saw the last of those things @ Howell back in 2014. What do they mean by "the blowing of engines"? Is this like a mechanical fault or something?
  20. When the announces they're getting new buses but you know you're gonna be the last to get them (couldn't do MHV ).
  21. Was thinking about this the other day. I know they can't put 160s on the because they'll fry in the Rockaways, but why not put them on the Ozone Park bound ? Would they be a problem there too? I say this only because the crowding conditions on an R160 are better than an R46 IMO. Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  22. It's a research writing class. I didn't have to write about a certain bus route, it was just the topic I chose at the time. I'll be more than happy to break it down: Mix of artics/40fters Bx1/2 Bx9 Bx15 Bx19 Bx39 Bx40/42 40ft only/seldom artic appearances Bx3 Bx7 Bx32 Bx36 M100 40ft only (no artics at all) Bx8 Bx10 Bx11 Bx13 Bx14 Bx16 Bx17 Bx18 Bx20 Bx21 Bx23 Bx24 Bx26 Bx27 Bx28 Bx29 Bx30 Bx31 Bx32 Bx33 Bx34 Bx35 Bx38 Q50 Artics only Bx4/A Bx5 Bx12 Bx22 Bx41 Q44 I may be missing some because these were off the top of my head. If I am, don't hesitate to point it out. Some make the argument that the Bronx doesn't need that many artics but in all honesty, it wouldn't hurt if they got a little more. It's been stated many times about how the city's population is growing faster than the city can keep up with. I've been on routes with 40ft buses in all 5 boroughs that make me wonder why the MTA didn't order a set number of artics for every depot.
  23. 4900 (I might have the # wrong) to WF Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Now I'm glad I didn't go in there. I was about to too.
  25. While writing a research paper about the M100's overcrowding for one of my classes. I decided to do a count on how many artics vs standard buses are in the Bronx altogether. 370 artics and 400 Standards This surprised me. All this time I was thinking there were more artics than 40ft buses in the Bronx. I didn't include the Express buses in this count.
