  1. They have this week around 10-11am along with some trains to 241 St. At least two trains are shown terminating at Gun Hill Road.
  2. The used to run express to Brooklyn Bridge during GOs(2003-2005?) while the and went local to Brooklyn Bridge
  3. That would however eliminate the need for two different trains.
  4. How about renaming the north part of the to since it is mainly running the route between 145 and W 4? MTA runs extended and service overnight for construction, so a late night could work in this case. That makes more sense than the or to 96 St-2 Av.
  5. There were trains going to both 241 St and Dyre Av for about 1 hour Monday morning between 6-7am. There were also trains leaving both 241 St (0401,0421) and Dyre Av (0400,0420) around the same time. MTA stopped the service from 241 St earlier than expected, leading to excess trains. Even worse northbound with trains to 241 St and Dyre Av bunching up. The swap isn't even consistent with the scheduling. They can extend Friday night service to Bowling Green to maintain service in Manhattan, but won't do the same thing on Monday Morning. Why bother running the Dyre shuttle for one hour S/B and duplicate N/B shuttles while through service is running. Just run the to/from Bowling Green after the G/O ends to maintain 20 minute headways until the AM rush begins.
  6. A new elevated line could run over Metro North Railroad tracks in the middle of Park Avenue in the Bronx to at least Fordham Plaza.
  7. The last 5 trains in the evening can also be extended to the Bronx in service instead of dead heading. There are also two midday trips that could also be extended to the Bronx from 145 St. Trains leave 145 St at 9:25, 9:35, 9:45, 9:55, 10:05, 10:15, 10:25, 10:35 going back to Brooklyn. Trains are scheduled to terminate at 145 at 9:20, 9:27, 9:32, 9:39, 9:49, 9:57, 10:05, 10:11, 10:19, 10:29. Two of those trains could also stay in service past 145 since they are not going back to Brooklyn.
  8. If the goes to Lefferts, the would be split between Far Rockaway and Rockaway Park
  9. They should add a 10:12pm Bx12 SBS weekday trip out of Bay Plaza to plug the gap between 10:00pm (last SBS) and 10:24pm (first local). The bus will return from 207 St at 11:05pm
  10. Bx5 should be extended to Bay Plaza on Fridays. All Pelham Bay trips extended to/from Bay Plaza from 7am-7pm, all trips extended to/from Bay Plaza before 7am and after 7pm.
  11. Any standees on those trips? They should try extending the BxM8 to City Island on summer weekends to get more riders in both directions.
  12. Summer weekends there are more BPH on the Bx12 local than Bx12 select at times.
  13. Any bus leaving Bay Plaza after a 24 minute gap would be crowded after 10pm.
  14. The 60/61/62 are also alternates to the 12/12SBS/22 between Pelham Parkway and Fordham Road.
  15. Q50 LTD to LGA would attract more riders than the Q48 would. It would eliminate a double fare for many in the East Bronx to get to LGA, plus serve Queens riders who currently use the Q48. The Bx50 SBS would also cut down on LGA double fares, but it is unfunded at the moment.
  16. Some Bx5 drivers still skip the Bx23/Q50 stop (with people waiting) and go over to the Bx12 local stop (which was supposed to be the original Bx5 stop, which was never marked, but still has the Bx5 bus schedule there). And people do wait for the Bx5 there, and get skipped, almost like they want people to pack on to the Bx12 SBS (which can be overcrowded and the only other bus that isn't running 30 minute headways at the time).
  17. Extend span of service to/from Hutchinson Metro Center for little cost Add new Bx24 trips from Westchester Square to the 911 Call Center at 5:17am and 5:47am weekdays and 5:16 and 5:46 weekends. These buses will just go in service at Westchester Square instead of deadheading into the Hutchinson Metro Center, easily expanding the span of service. Add new Bx24 trips from the 911 Call Center to Westchester Square at 10:33pm and 11:03pm on Sunday - Friday and 10:35pm and 11:05pm on Saturday. These will be trips that will stay in service back to Westchester Square instead of currently deadheading out of the Hutchinson Metro Center.
  18. Bx5 drivers continue to skip the new bus stop at Edson Avenue for some reason.
  19. If the Q48 is taken out of LGA, then extend the Q50 to LGA. If the Q50 becomes too unreliable, then split up the route between the Q50 and Q51. The Q51 would run between Pelham Bay Park and LGA while the Q50 will be the Co Op City Flushing route again. This will be of no cost to the MTA since it will be fully reimbursed.
  20. They could make it two trains by adding the Triplexes. Broadway would be an alternative if 6th isn't available.
  21. Vintage trains could run as extra service, at least the Triplexes and Arnines
  22. Some Bx5 trips will end at Pelham Bay if they are late. The drivers tell people to take the other routes to get to Bay Plaza. Many Bx5 drivers will also skip the Edson Avenue bus stop going back to Pelham Bay.
  23. They should make the to Chambers permanent on weekends, maybe even extend it to Broad during GOs to help with the missing service below Brooklyn Bridge
