I agree with this. I'm sorry if it sounds insensitive, but how much resources can they put for one kid? I hope he is found alive, but at what expense? Maybe this is where the nypd would justify having cameras on every street block or something so they could track him.

Yup, if you rode them before the mta takeover, they lived up to their names. Mismatched panels, deteriorating seats, etc.

Well being that they are 2nd hand buses, it could be the depot 'not giving a damn'. As it is 'not their problem anymore'. And of course JFK I dunno, I kinda have to give them a slight pass because they are overworked dealing with FR on top of their own fleet. But then again it was Gangrene lines... and it was among the worst with Trihoror lines.

Makes sense. I've been seeing a few ex ENYs on the Q35. though seems like a drastic 'upgrade' even though FB's fleet age is pretty low with the NGs and lfsa.

9168 on the Q35 today, the ride was just terrible (made odd jerking type movements). On the flip side, B41 on the way home was smooth and the driver was flooring it, great ride.

wow. I think I saw that o5 on the Q35 a few weeks ago. Wouldn't surprise me if they just slowly pulled all the ex Bees back and let them die off on the ECH local lines.

If they intend on buying more of those BYD buses, it needs to have forward facing rear seats. Ride the B41 as much as I do during the rush hours and you'll understand. You have to shove your way towards the back. The back section would be better off with more seats and turning the front to 1x1 seating.

It would've been nice if they had the GWB connecting 'manhattan' to Jersey instead of that generic bridge (seems more like that Queens-roosevelt is bridge). I love how the ai tank actually fires the turret at you now instead of just chasing you. On one hand, makes it harder, on the other, it makes tank chases more fun. I so gotta get this game...

Never said they were. Before Sandy, the FR buses were really terrible especially with the seat covering fabric on the OGs ripping apart. Another time I saw what looked like part of the pole holding the seat grab bar to the handle bar for the standees 'sawed off'. And now due to Sandy JFK has to maintain buses for FR as well. Which ironically means the buses aren't total shit for a change. Not a bad idea, JBL took better care of their buses before the takeover. Plus they should've been all hybrids when SC was fully cng. Agreed.

Some have said the ngs at LGA are pretty beaten to hell. So even if they got new buses, it won't change much if they are treated like crap. That's why it's justified giving them mostly hand me downs since the NGs and OGs were delivered.

But I think he means CP takes better care of their buses than LGA does and that local riders shouldn't be given substandard buses running on their lines. That's why some of us would've preferred CP kept more of their local bus routes than taking on most (if not all) express bus routes among the 2.

Far rockaway was hit hard by superstorm Sandy. Ever since FR has been relying on other depots to lend them buses. Basically FR is more like a storage lot than a garage the way Jfk is. So JFK has to fix up buses for FR as well.

I dunno how serious you were about pulling the emergency breaks, but nothing justifies doing that unless it was a real emergency. Why not just complain to the c/r instead?

smh. why can't they let it end? Futurama is the one that should've been renewed. I'm sick of the family guy spin offs and the Simpsons haven't been good since like season 8 or 12.

The one good thing about the simpsons reruns moving to my9 has been airing the early 90s eps which are a lot better than the 2000s ones. And thursday they aired 4 of the classic eps including 'bart gets an f'. Ironic here he tries so hard not to repeat 4th grade, but has been there 20+ yrs later. All these years later and you'd think they'd at least move him up a grade already. 500+ eps, even if each one is like a day, it should be 2 yrs worth.

Why? those old buses were pushed out of those depots. If LGA can't take care of what they have, why should they get new buses to trash? It's like SI again before Charleston was built.

just read my posts. I see like one a week now. Practically all the buses on the q35 are from jfk. I dunno the specific times, but afternoons are good times to find it.

While I think that could happen, what difference does it make? Either way the 4 and 6 will have 2 types of trains regardless. I dunno how different the parts on the R142s are compared to the R142As, but why not just keep all the R62As together? As for the R142As, I always thought they could swap the remaining R142As on the 6 to the 4 for the R142s since the ones on the 6 seem like they are so 'poorly maintained' (bucking issues). You make the stuff about the politicians overblown. Now one gives a damn what they think. If the trains have adequate a/c for summer and heat for winter, then what's the fuss about? At least they can see the giant rollsign showing what train is coming (6)/<6> instead of looking at the small digital sign on top.

FP: yeah I figured LGA was overcrowded and it was a mistake to move most of the express buses over to CP. CP could've kept and maybe take on a few more local routes (give up some express routes). If they had a 3rd depot to take the load off LGA and maybe CP, then perhaps there could be an improvement like SI (well not sure about Yukon though). If true, then shame on them. And I hope so. FR has sandy as an excuse, but what's lga's excuse? The day it's 'sorted out' there, then all the better.

LGA needs to clean house or they need another depot to take the load off LGA. This is crazy. How bad are their NGs? It's not an excuse to 'slack off' even if they get a bunch of 2nd hand buses. The new buses they have aren't that great.

5209, wtf? I thought they were all returned back to nyct? = artic 5485 on the Q35 today, back sign was stuck on the Q22*. Mid afternoon is a waste as everyone could've fit on an OG bus. Imo, they should run during the rush hours when there's a real need for them. Also a bunch of ex-nyct rtss on the Q35. The OG was the minority for a change, thank god! *is this a flaw with the d60hfs? The rear sign isn't in sync with the front one.

Yup. Seen 2 trains up Lexington av a few times, but probably not as often as the 5 on the west side.
