Oh I know. Just saying that since they came from SI, SI can take them back and those units can finish their lives there. Well whereever the NGs are taken from, my point stands about leaving the NGs at SI. It's better than rotating RTSs or such from other depots and newer enough so they can last a few more years without a replacement. Plus they may as well keep the local fleet there as all Orions anyway.

They should take the ones at FP back. At least those units were at SI from the start. Then take handfuls from other depots and give them to FP. After that they may as well just keep the NGs there and keep the O5s in Brooklyn or Queens till they retire and replaced by the next bus order.

Okay...? Well not like there's much choice given the nova lfs and nf xds. If the nfs didn't have the 'issues' I think it might've been a clearer choice of which to choose. It's a shame too because the c40lfs seems to be very reliable.

Was 5143 loaned to LGA? I forgot the ones that were loaned out. Anyways rode it on the B46 and it looked like the NYCT part was 'blued out'. Bus ran ok, a little 'rattly', but overall not too bad.

I don't see why they needed to take up more road space on Nostrand. The one on Av H is even more constricting. Maybe they should've just moved the SBS stop across the street in front of the BC parking lot. At least there it isn't as crowded and they wouldn't need to put a sidewalk over a traffic lane.

I'm not in the Bronx often and didn't know. So those 4 at JG are indeed the last 4 left. Gonna miss them, but not in any need/urgency to chase any. I've rode them enough and the new ones are sorta the same anyway.

While the new M is good and more useful than the V going to just 2nd av and the M to Chambers st (Bay pkwy rush hours), I still wonder if there could've been a demand for the V to church av (as express or a local)? The old M probably didn't need to go all the way to Bay Pkwy or even 9th av, but it's not like it had to be routed north. It was just a byproduct of severing 2 underused stub ends and giving some folks 1 less train to transfer to. The only good is that the Queens blvd end of the line doesn't have a full 600' 'empty train' (so it's 2 less empty cars).

Unless MTA bus is that desperate for new buses, I just can't see it. Otoh, I guess it could mean no new buses (excluding potential new artic orders) for Mta bus as NYCT gets all the new 40' buses for the time being. But it can't be all at once. If there's a bus shortage (gonna be hard to justify taking buses across the board from the other depots), then why should GH get the old buses in exchange? Saw 881 last week on the B9. Yup, but it seems lately almost 90% of the Q35s I see are JFK. So far other than the 9400 on the B41, it's been rather mundane along Flatbush. Nothing out of the ordinary other than a once in a while NG from jfk on the Q35. I still haven't seen another artic q35 since june. = UP setting up a swap soon? Seems odd to split or keep some zf Rtss when they should all be in one place.
