  1. Lol, strange thing is I don't even plan on searching for them. They 'find me' :spooky: I got pics [but you know how long it takes for me to get around to uploading them]. Also saw 4618 ['white front'] a few times as well in the 'yard' or on Flatbush Av.
  2. Whoa, friggin whoa! I hope for the short term the O5s from JFK goes to LGA. Let LGA 'handle' them before they are sent to ECH. Funny enough, I saw that very bus today [9643] on Av N heading to Flatbush Av this afternoon. Saturday I saw 9644 layed up at Utica, just across from the Petco store. Interesting. I guess I'll be on the look out for that one. I've seen '43-45, but not '46 yet.
  3. This afternoon, I saw a 965x bus being towed down Flatbush av. dunno what happened to it. Just caught me off guard.
  4. There is only one set of north-south terminals. So it's not like the will be diverted anywhere else. Strip maps are just as useful and cheaper. Not totally sure if they can work somewhere in the middle of the line, but if it works for the (6)/<6>, I don't see why it can't for the (7)/<7>. Since they are new cars, it could be possible the FIND would be in it. But I would hope the rest of the R142As are still using the strip maps since it's not like they are going to be swapped back and forth often with the mainline once they go to the . No need to waste more money to convert them for a line that has no connections [normal passenger service wise] to any part of the system. There's just Flushing to TS [in the future, the Javits Center].
  5. lmao, that wouldn't surprise me at all. Same could apply to Calvin and Hobbs - toy tiger that comes alive? Ha.
  6. Rode on a few 8800s from FB lately and they sound pretty good. I would prefer the newer RTSs, but the 8800s and that one 8900 that I rode have all sounded pretty good and I would not mind if they stayed a bit longer. :sigh: On the OGs and the paint scheme: meh. Could care less. OG should stay as it is. I hate the NG style scheme on OGs.
  7. Heh, just checking. Probably wasn't from anyone here then.
  8. Got the number? And did it have lines covering every corner of the map?
  9. I really wished the IRT was compatible with the BMT and IND. That's why I dislike the IRT. Otherwise I do like the elevated portions in the Bronx. But I like the BMT specifically Brighton and Sea Beach. IND has some nice station views like Smith-9th and the Rockaways, but I like the BMT more.
  10. I know, I've been there before as well. Been so many years ago though. Yes it was so stupid, but I guess if it was done for a guiness record [North America], then mission accomplished.
  11. Ok, that came out wrong [i'm not against SI getting new engines], but why [other than the 'budget covers them'] did they get such 'massive' engines. To me those engines look more suited for a heavier work load than basically subway equipment. Couldn't SI have gotten smaller engines?
  12. Hem, it would probably be a good time to split the Q53 with JFK. At least then it could lower the total amt of buses at LGA.
  13. Blame the ada laws... waste of money and electricity.
  14. If anything, those locos could've been sent to the LIRR and the LIRR send its locos to SI. I mean, can those locos fit in the St. George terminal?
  15. Shoulda just built a ramp... lol I did the same thing when I was like 8. Good times...
  16. Oh noes.. what did JFK have to give up? I hope it was an O5, but I doubt it.
  17. Very nice! I still think those locos are 'overkill' for SI. Lol, they make the R44-SIs look like HO cars in terms of O size.
  18. Been a while since I last played GTA 4, so rusty I needed the health cheat a few times. The game really should've had the hunter. Annhilator sucks. It's hard to aim the machine guns. Having the cars pile up on their own and explode was the best. SF Adventures- seen from vids online, graphics were nice, but it didn't seem like a SF game. It was more like Donkey Kong or such. To me SF is dogfights. SF 64 is still my fav.
  19. Lol! I finally got around to clear the dust off my ps2 and played that game like all day. So much fun just shooting up random stuff. Way fun if all the places are unlocked and stealing the hydra from the carrier. Today I'm gonna clear the dust off my xbox and play gta4.
  20. Kings plaza is more like an outlet mall inside a building. You aren't missing much if you go elsewhere. Manhattan Mall would probably be in the same category too since they gutted the basement [food court] for JCPenny.
  21. It's there for training and will be sent to SI when UP's batch is ready. 30, #8030-59 - IIRC. Edit: beaten to the punch.
  22. lol at your post in this thread [http://www.nyctransitforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28475].

Sigh, that kid just wastes so much space with his nonsense and thumbs up to every photo thread. Just a kid with too much time on his hands. I'd respond back, but then ppl will think i'm picking on the kid again. So props to ya for speaking the truth.

  23. I can confirm 8752 at FB today. It was in the garage with the rear panel up. I was going to ask where did it come from, but now I see.
