  1. RTSs are back at JFK? Awesome! Although, I will admit, a 96 Nova is not the same as a PBL TMC... Hopefully RTSs will make a grand return to SC and BP as well, I but I doubt it though, I'm sure SC will make it work with the suburban CNG until the new C40s come.
  2. 9834 is still there as well, seen it on the B70 this afternoon.
  3. There could be more than two still there, those are just the ones I seen. Before the new C40s came and all that LIB loaner stuff started, JG only had like 15-20 Orion V CNGs, its seems like they have the same amount of new C40s now, that's why I was kinda shocked I saw two of them this morning.
  4. As of this morning there's at least two Orion V CNGs still at JG. 9911 and 9864? the former was on the B8 and the latter was on the B70. The driver that always had the V CNG had a new C40 again this morning. I think I know why this dude likes the new C40s... well on the older buses at JG this dude would always announce on the PA speaker for people move away from the back door, he doesn't like people to stand too close to the rear door. As you all know, on the new C40s its not necessary to do that as the computer voice does it for you... with that being said, I left late and missed his bus, so I just rode his follower, which shockingly had a old C40LF. Why shocking? Well, this run is a hawk, I know over in SI, before the Novas came I heard they only used the NGs on the hawk runs, JG still using old C40LF on hawk runs, I don't really care as I like both variants of the C40LFs at JG, just thought that was interesting. I remember I rode the B8 hawk (Well one of the B8 hawks overlaps into the AM rush so... I rode it in the AM rush lol) and it was a ex CP Orion V CNG! JG sending a V CNG on a hawk, Mind = Blown.
  5. This morning I finally got a new C40 on my commute on the B8! Ok, so I'm walking down the block towards the bus stop, I see a NG hybrid on the B49, but behind it was a C40LF, I couldn't see the destination sign so I assumed it was a old one. But then it pulled out and I saw the Orange destination sign, I quickly ran across the street so I wouldn't miss it.. While I'm waiting I'm looking like this.... Then the bus pulls into the stop, I get on, ooh man, bus had new bus smell, I walk on the bus, dip my Metrocard while doing the Diddy bop walking towards the back, grumpy ass middle age woman mean muggin (Didn't get seat until Newkirk). It was awesome, bus really quiet and smooth, one of best commutes I had on that route to date, also, to note this was the run that ALWAYS had V CNGs, I think there gone from the depot for real this time. I seen 4 new C40s this morning alone, one of them on the B11 and the other three on the B8.. I also got a new C40 on the B70 coming home, I didn't really get to enjoy the ride though, that's counting when it uses JG other two LF fleets as well....
  6. Yesterday, I might have had my last ever ride on a 96 Nova on a UP route (9231).... they was the backbone of the UP fleet for many years. Crazy to believe in a matter of weeks they will be completely gone from UP! I don't really care as I had more than enough rides on these buses over the years and FLA will still have them, unless the 98s that get pushed out of UP go to FLA, I'd rather see them go to ENY though. AFAIK they don't have any buses in the 9350 - 9699 batch and it would cool to see them there.
  7. Wow.... UP already has 18 3G Orions?! They sure are coming in quick!
  8. 9696 was in FLA until the summer when QV RTSs had A/C issues and had to borrow loaners from other depots to make service, 9696 was one of them, but it never came back lol.
  9. I was wrong about JG not having V CNGs anymore, there was one on the B8 yesterday morning... Also, yesterday, I was running some errads at the Junction and my favorite bus showed up.... 232! Since the B11 goes near where I live I rode on it, I'm glad my first ride on a new C40LF was on the B11... as my first ride on the old ones was on the B11 as well. It kept up a personal traditition of mine!
  10. I don't think JG has Orion V CNGs anymore, the guy that usually has one on the B8 during the AM rush had old C40s these past two days, also all the B16 school trippers was Orion VII CNGs & C40LF, I usually always see a V CNG on the B16... RIP to HF buses at JG....?
  11. There's now like six 3G Orions at UP, 7039, 7053, I don't remember the numbers of the other buses though, maybe ci will post them.
  12. GOAT diss song by the GOAT rapper.... Then I listened to this afterwards.... Notorious B.I.G - Going Back to Cali - YouTube
  13. I notice there haven't been any sighting of new XD40s or 3G lately... did they stop the orders to fix something? (Like when the LFS stopped in the middle of the UP batch to fix the spacing between the seats).
  14. This morning I finally seen a new C40 on the B8, 232. It was going the other way. Clock still ticking for one to show up on my commute...
  15. Both 8991 & 5093 are back at UP, seen both on the B1 this evening. Also, there was two LIB O-Vs on layover at Pelham Bay in The Bronx. I wonder why they was there.
  16. This week I have been on every bus model JG operates except for the buses in the 230 - 263 batch 1)Old C40LF 2)Orion VII CNG 3)Orion V CNG 4)RTSs while I didn't get to enjoy it, I heard JG had a very diverse fleet slimar to the above in the late 90s, they even had diesel Orions back then! IIRC, they had.... 1)buses in the 800 - 989 batch 2) 99 RTSs 3)TMC RTSs 5)GMC RTSs 6)581 - 610 (Orion V CNG) 5)Diesel Orion Vs (Not sure of fleet #)
  17. In reply to the driver thing, are you talking about the B16 school trippers? I know the run that used the RTS on Monday & Tuesday on the B8 was driven by a JG driver, its the same guy that been on that run for months now, my favorite driver of the 2 to 3 runs I ride regularly on the B8. Most times he always has a Orion V CNG. Even though I was kinda salty he had one this morning, I was thirsty for more RTSs...
  18. 5093 is at JG, I seen it on a B16 school tripper, which I believe is 100% covered by JG, and 236 was 5093's leader.... This morning the driver on the B8 that had RTSs these past two days had a Orion V CNG today  Hopefully this run will have a RTS tomorrow....
  19. 5104 is at JG, I rode it this morning on the B8.... bus was JAMMED and I got flagged (First time I ever got flagged by a HF bus), luckily, the bus got cought at a traffic light and someone got off at the next stop, so I was able to get on, I must say, 5104 seems to be much faster than anything else @ JG (I have yet to ride their 200s, only talking about 800 - 989 and the Orions). It was the same run I seen 5113 on yesterday, I hope this B/O has a RTS tomorrow as well!
  20. Both 5113 and 9077 was on the B8 today, the latter is on that route right now! I saw 5113 this am... I took a L as it was on one of the runs I ride on a regular basis and I left late this morning and took a later bus.... I seen 5113 on layover outside the VA.... It was like Nirvana....
  21. In a perfect world, those 30 LFSs @ UP would be pulled from service, cleaned up to look factory fresh again and put into storage until the 3G and 4800s come to UP. Last night while Riding Q2 & N1 along Hillside made realize how badass QV local fleet is right now, new fresh looking LFSs, the 4800s lookin' sexy with their LED highlights and all, and the Orion 3G was out there looking good too. All those years UP had shitty hand me down RTSs that look like shit as well. Can't wait until nothing but new buses on UP routes, I will be riding the B6 a lot more once the other two test fleets come! I also hope the mileage isn't getting to high on 8030 -8059, QV has the 6400s, CAS has the NGs, some fairly new buses, wheres ALL of UP buses are pretty old. In other words, I hope they aren't whoring those buses (Like JFK and LGA used to do with the OG hybrids).
  22. Wow, that's awesome! JG is getting new buses a lot sooner than everybody expected! I guess this has to do with JG giving buses to LIB, I guess they decided to give JG the new buses sooner rather have them loan RTSs from UP & FLA.
