I did hear that the Orion 5 CNGs' tanks are dead, and there is no point in renewing the tanks so... they're good as dead lol.
As for the Bee Line Orion 5s and RTSs, it's possibru.
How long ago did you see the 2000-series T80206 RTSs being scrapped? I think they retired almost 1-2 years ago.
EDIT: County Auto Wreckers certainly picks up part of the retired RTSs doe.
Nice! You were even able to get the numbers (wonder how doe...)! Guess they weren't kidding when they said other stuff was being scrapped along with the R44s then. As for the Redbird cars, are more off or just those 3 for now?
The MTA may have been in the logic that it is quicker to use trains from the on the than to take stuff from the and put it on the , which can make sense.
The MTA probably had the logic of scrapping the older (like the R38s and many R32s) and more stranger fleets (like the GE R32s, since there were only 10 of them anyway) at the time.
I doubt they will (like Cait Sith has mentioned).... they're probably there for maintenance just like the occasional RTS or diesel Orion 5 that pops up at College Point.
Looks like some of the older cars really ARE going along with the R44s... (credits to "BLE-NIMX" via Subchat)
I am certain that the R32s are numbered 3676/3677, 3746/3747, and 3796/3797. Also seen are one R42 pair, 2 R33WFs, and a possible R40/A or R42 pair...
