  1. He's been attempted to be reached a few times by others to no avail.
  2. Thanks man! I'm just excited to get some scenery down in that area (I haven't visited any of the Bronx lines IRL)--so when I looked at Google Earth, I saw that some freeways are in the general area of the yards, so woot! I'm working on the shed for E180 today, and then I'll complete Dyre Av. I'll post some progress shots tonight. Still no-go on videos because of the sound issue with TS12, and I know it'd suck to have videos without sound. -A P.S. If I have time tonight, I'll be tackling the a little bit too.
  3. More IRT route pics: East 180 St/Unionport Yards (some third rails included) Harlem-148 St Enjoy! -A
  4. Just some shots of the recently finished Unionport Yard for the . Next up is the smaller (and thanks to the new configuration, easier to build) E. 180 St Yard. To my beta testers: Around this time next week you should receive instructions in your inbox over at BDC Projects about how to get the route/session file. Looking north, yard leads on the right, old NY&B on the far right. Inside Yard view. Tk 22 connecting to Y2 in the distance Overhead View--the empty space in the mid-left will be the E 180 St Yard soon. Enjoy! More to come later on. P.S. Yes, I will be adding the third rail splines later on. What?! There are third rail splines?! Yes, check the EL station kit, you'll find several varieties! -A
  5. Do you have any type of instant messenger Simmy?

  8. @Simmy: We only get upset (well, me personally), when people post crappy non-related stuff. This is AMAZING route building, so no hard feelings! Excellent work. What's the status update on your other NYCTA projects besides the ? -A
  9. It's been a pleasure! It's a labor of love.
  10. Here's an update on the newly created home signal variations, wall signals, and third rail. The third rail spline you see in the pics are from the elevated station kit, and they are sitting on Samplaire's **wonderful** tracks which I will be implementing on the NYCTA routes in addition to our own home-grown versions. New Signals S curve between 174 & 180 Sts At East 180th Enjoy! Yard pics (when completed) will be coming soon! -A
  11. Looking good! If you intend to do IRT cars, I will be (finally!) revising the R62 rollsigns to look better, as well as a modification to LED dot lights on the fronts of the R32s. Keep up the great work! -A
  12. Just wanted to update everyone--I've been reworking the signals, for several reasons. First, it's been promised by me in months past and is LONG overdue. Secondly, it gets rid of that annoying box in the center of the tracks that was useless anyway, and if you modify the "trackside" value, you won't have to worry about the box moving with it, so the signal will look natural. Also, as I've been doing the IRT route, I've noticed lots of different combinations of signals, as well as repeaters, home timer signals, etc. I didn't include these in the first pack because I wasn't sure how serious development was going to be on my routes, but after looking through the diagrams, if I want accuracy, I gotta include them. I've gotten all the home signals, repeaters, and normal/timer signals done. Right now, I'm working on the wall signals. The total count is 57 signals so far in this package--but don't be alarmed. If you're building a basic route and only want home, automatic and yard signals and couldn't give two you know whats about timers and all that jazz, then don't worry. The names will be easy to distinguish, and I'll even include photo files in the CDP that'll act as a "guide" for what signals to use and where they go. Thanks for your continued support. Also--please feel free to start discussions about Trainz and such over on the new BDC Projects Page! -A
  13. Are you doing a fictional or a non-fictional route? On the IRT route, I've already completed the , including the 240 St Yard.
  14. There are no subway yards. What are you looking for? A layout already made so you can add on? If so, what yard(s)?
  15. Oh! Good old 2C--that was something that wasn't supposed to be in the release yet. You're correct, it is similar to 242 St (and the terminals for the and as well). The reason there are no non-canopy sections was because I hadn't broken down and split 2C into objects and splines yet. It is an honest accident--that folder was supposed to be taken out prior to upload. Oh well! Enjoy it for now and an upgrade will be out soon. On a separate note, thanks to all of you who have signed up on the BDC forums. I'll be checking (very thoroughly ) my content and assets and uploading links to the forums. Keep in mind, I cannot directly host them on the boards, so they will still be mediafire files, however, now everything will be found in one place, so no more searching threads for hours on end! -A
  16. Hello All! As many of you know, I am a senior development partner with BStyles, specializing in content for the Trainz simulator series. For a year or so now, the both of us have been wanting to get a website up and going, with obvious hits and misses. As B is in the military currently, and as I am juggling a full time job and new familial obligations, the ability to pay for such a domain is tough. Thankfully, the solution is finally here. I have started a new ProBoards forum called "BDC Projects" and it will be *the* official place to get content downloads for Trainz items as well as a place for content developers who want to join our team to congregate. Many of you know BStyles from his work here in BVE, and I'd like to extend a warm welcome to you as well, whether or not we've met. A select few of you I have had the pleasure of meeting, and I hope to meet everyone else in the future. The website link is below as well as a list of members that were a part of the old domain site before it crashed. If your name is NOT on this list and you were part of the original group, please shoot me a private message on the new boards. Those who are content creators (for lack of a better term?) here for BVE and are also partners with BStyles, please reach me via PM there as well and I can see about setting up administrator privileges for a few of you (I'm looking for maybe 3 or 4), since I can't run the site on my own. On that note, if you have a lot of experience and would like to be an administrator, include that in your PM as an "application", and why you should be chosen. So, without further delay: New Website: (Register now!) http://bdcprojects.boards.net Here are the names of the members that BStyles gave me prior to the close of the last domain. If there is an asterisk next to your name, you were flagged as an admin on the old board, however, you will have to resubmit your application as BStyles is temporarily away from the development game and I've taken over all administrative duties. 18. Open up those assets and look through the .texture files and delete the alpha lines on the textures that are showing up as invisible. Use meshviewer side-by-side to check your work. -A
  19. As I stated on the auran forums, the direction of the arrows don't matter when it comes to laying track. They shouldn't be an issue. What do you mean parallel to the point? Since they're objects you can rotate them in the objects tab in surveyor. Also the link titled el fixes above fixes the transparency issues.
  20. Duly noted, Rick. Thanks for a timely response. I'm going to check the issue(s) you're having--I'm running TS12 and everything is showing up on my end. Also, JeffMorris got an error while trying to download the Start Pieces .cdp. Did you get anything like that? (NOTE: Check the bottom of this post for continuous edits throughout the night). -A Edit: No need to elaborate on the invisible station issue. Unfortunately, anything above AJS Invisible Station 1T is too wide and/or incompatible with the current NYCTA station kit(s). I've tried to max out the platform widths by redoing all of the subway and el stations twice, but I can't seem to get the measurements correct. I even double-checked in mesh viewer. I know it's a huge pain in the butt, but for now, only 1T invisible stations are available to use for NYCTA (and using multiples for multi-platform stations) until I can either: a) Contact Andi and see about an update or b) figure out some magic deep within the config to adjust it (hopefully it's a config fix and not an entire mesh fix).
  21. NYCTA Elevated Station Set Includes the following: Canopies, station splines (without canopies) and start/end pieces. It comes for the following configurations: 1T, 2T (island and side), 3T (island, side and a third), and 4T (island and spline). This is the first part of a set I'm planning. BStyles has been absent due to his other obligations, so I thought I'd take over on small portions of our joint mega-project. Enjoy gentlemen! Canopies Station Splines End Pieces Start Pieces -A
  22. I'm not familiar with Trainz for iPad. I'll ask around. As for another grating TS12 problem: Engine Sounds! I know this has been bugging NYCTA fans for a really long time--the apparently warped and/or awkwardly disturbing sound quality of Bxmike88's NYCTA engine and horn sounds within TS12. I'm not an audio engineer nor a person who has these skills, but I seemed to have found a fix to the problems that was in front of me the entire time! Under the Options Tab in surveyor, de-select the checkbox that says "Enable 3D sounds" and the engine and horn sounds will work perfectly, like in previous versions of Trainz. To test this, I used the R62, since it's not native to TS12 like the R46. It seems to have solved the problem. If anyone has any responses, or confirmations, please let me know! -A
