  1. lol... I'm not going to lie. One of the things I decided to do when traveling around in Italy was to try the pizza from city to city and each city has completely different pizza. Once I ate schiacciata (which is like a salty bread, but it is used in parts of Italy (i.e. Tuscany to make pizza)) and I thought I was eating saltine crackers. lol It is a very thin style flatbread and rather salty. In Naples, I immediately went and had the classic Neapolitan pizza, then took some photos (all in the rain), walked about and saw some places I wanted to see and then stopped and had more pizza, this time a sausage and spinach pizza, but the modern style Neapolitan pizza. Still remember how great that was. I've had pizza in Venice and Perugia as well, and they were both quite different. I didn't have the chance to eat any in Sicily because I was too busy downing cannoli, cassata (a Sicilian dessert), arancini (rice balls) and Sicilian ice cream. The differences usually are in the breads. Each region makes their own breads and that affects what type of breads they use for making the equivalent of what could be considered a pizza. For example in Florence, their pizzas can also be "schiacciatinas" which is an olive oil bread or more like a focaccia, so you'll see quite a few focaccerias in addition to pizzerias. They aren't big on putting sauce on their pizza, as that is done moreso in the south. Of course you can find pizzerias in Florence that do though, but basically each region will have what they consider to be "their own pizza". That is one of the reasons that I order a lot of pizza without sauce usually like "white pizzas" with olive oil and such instead of the sauce. Here of course people are freaked out by the idea of pizza without tomato sauce as they think it is "un-Italian" , but what they don't realize is that they're usually having Neapolitan style pizza and that pizza is not all the same throughout Italy.
  2. lol... You eat more pizza than me and I'm Sicilian.
  3. Oh one other thing... can you fix the spacing on the BM1 sign? The "BM" are a bit more closely spaced than usual. Just want them to match the BMs you've done. You should charge for this you know. I really appreciate it.

  4. Oh well... In that case then how about doing the BXM10 Midtown destination? Would everything fit on that one?

    Here's how the sign reads:

    BxM10 MIDTOWN

    23 ST

    BxM10 via 5 AV

We can steal the BXM9 via below which uses the same signage:

    Thanks!

    Vittorio

  5. Used to listen to Alice Cooper all the time back in college and when I was 18 I played that track above esp.
  6. Hey, I'd like a few signs with the usual orange signage...

    BM1 VIA AVENUE K

    BM1 MILL BASIN

    E. 66 ST

I put a video of it below

BXM10 GOING TOWARDS WILLIAMSBRIDGE - I haven't located the signage for that one yet, but I'll be on the lookout for it when I'm on Madison Ave.

Could you also make me another X16? I want the same one that I have but the same size as the current signs that I have.

    The sign reads:

    X16 DOWNTOWN

    WORTH ST

    Thanks as always!

  7. Ugh... KFC... lol... I think maybe when I was 15 or so I was a camp counselor for the summer and every now and then I'd get those chicken finger thingys with biscuits for lunch with the potato wedges or cole slaw or whatever. That very well may be the last time I had KFC. lol Since I generally avoid eating processed food, the smell that permeates from McDonald's and KFC disgusts me because you can sort of smell the artificialness of it all. It's hard to understand when you eat processed food and lots of fast food. When I was younger I would've never said this, but as you get older your tastes change and in my case for the better. When you start eating natural foods you can definitely taste how much better the food is as opposed to the processed stuff. It's much finer in terms of quality. Now the only thing I can't give up are french fries. Those I get as a treat say maybe once every few months or so and I usually like them with brunch with say an omelette w/gruyere cheese and mushrooms and a beer on the side. It's probably because I am obsessed with Belgian food. If you are served good pomme frites with a good side of Belgian style mayo you'll be hooked too. So to answer your question, the last time I ate anything fried was almost a month ago and it was french fries with a spinach and grilled chicken salad.
  8. Friiieeddddddd Chicken... Now that's something I haven't eaten in years.
  9. This song has certainly grown on me over the years. Great video too. Still remember picking up this CD and having the "Down on the Upside" album shirt. I was once walking with it on in the village hanging out with some friends going to pick up some metal CDs and this middle aged lady asked me what exactly did "Down on the Upside" mean, to which I responded, "Just what it says". lol
  10. Maybe it isn't loaded with sugar, but it's usually loaded with sodium, so it's like trading diabetes for a stroke. In fact diet soda is just as bad as regular soda when you see all of the crap they add to it to make up for the loss of the tons of sugar the keep out of it. So you drink diet soda, but order a 20 piece nugget and use 5 packets of BBQ sauce which is loaded with what?? Sugar... lol Of course I treat myself to things from time to time, but in moderation. Folks really don't know what they're eating; that and the size portions.
  11. Holy cow... Well now I know someone does indeed by those 20 piece nugget deal...
  12. I may sound foolish for asking, but who is Five Guys??? While I don't do fast food, I am pretty familiar with the main names (McDonald's, Burger King, etc.), but these guys must be new or are located mainly in areas outside of NYC and are making an introduction or something...
  13. I don't really eat fast food. If anything I'll go to Whole Foods and get their prepared foods, but that isn't really fast food per se. They use healthier options in terms of ingredients and I don't really go for lots of fried food either. On occasion maybe once a month, I'll order from my local pizzeria, but even then I'm careful about what I order. Usually spinach salads with grilled shrimp or grilled chicken, grape tomatoes and so forth and maybe I'll get a side of french fries as a treat, but that's maybe once a month or maybe once every few months. Same thing goes for pizza. Usually veggies like onions and such with cheese and olive oil.
  14. I should ask for a sign that says "Make me that sign NOW" and post it everytime someone asks for one. lol
  15. Great songs... Got to see these guys back in 2003 up in Montréal... The cool part was when Billy was throwing out bottles of water. We made eye contact and he threw one my way and I caught it with one hand. LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44UgfjFZXNY
  16. Well, I picked Estranged because it's one of my favs and also because I wanted to steer clear of all of the more popular tracks.
  17. So you feel more comfortable with those brands? I know what you mean. I used to use a Fuji camera that was Made in Japan that I bought when living back in Europe and I still swear by the brand today. They make really good cameras. Sony makes good products too, but they're just not durable IMO.
  18. AMORPHIS - My Kantele http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7GhDS-rIO4&NR=1 AMORPHIS - Black Winter Day AMORPHIS - Magic and Mayhem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0VJSRe1wzI  \m/
  19. That would be difficult because the media would try to dig up sh*t to see which way the candidate leans and how she/he voted on certain issues.
