  1. Maybe they'll post 'em tomorrow on the website. Since Monday is an actual work day at their office and that's still one week before the changes so...
  2. Damn! That sounds like something DOT needs to take a good look at... (that traffic light)
  3. Because I dont know the exact routing all of NICEs route yet. Geez, finally I am contributing in an informational way, just like you want for this subforum and I still get judged over overlooking one lousy typo I just tried to be helpful...
  4. Just to be clear: I was talking about them being in a rush *today*, not yesterday. -- Sent from my TouchPad using Communities
  5. Then NICE reported it wrong. Ah well, in the rush of reporting all of this I can't blame 'em. Anyway: #NICEALERT We are running LOCAL SERVICE ONLY on the n4, n6 and n22. No n4x, n6x and n22x. Thanks for your patience.
  6. @Brett: Yes, and an n27 (which is the red-white Orion next to the n22). Those two I was referring to in my previous post. Thanks!
  7. Also, the n22 and n27 were stuck in the snow somewhere along the route so they had to be towed out causing delays there. -- Sent from my TouchPad using Communities
  8. According to NICE, the n6x is running local this morning and doesn't serve NCC so you need to transfer to the n43 or n16 if you want to go to NCC (which is closed but still). And to add to that: #NICEALERT Our staff is reporting n27 along Sea Cliff Avenue still needs to be plowed. Expect a detour north of Roslyn to be put into effect
  9. Well, I guess that more than answers n6l's question
  10. Overnight n6 service: "LIE will be closed in Nassau/Suffolk at midnight. If alternative needed, n6 overnight service btwn Jamaica-Hempstead on Hemp. TPK corridor" (source: NICE's Twitter - https://twitter.com/theNICEbus/status/418870341197234177)
  11. @n6 Limited: I thought I remember that Yuki once said some time last year that n43 can be pretty crowded in rush hour. It also serves NCC so that might be true...
  12. No, 22L: http://www.nicebus.com/Maps-Schedules/Interactive-System-Map/Individual-NICE-Bus-Maps-and-Schedules.aspx?ID=4911
  13. The only exception to these plans will be Train 1728 from Atlantic Terminal which bypasses Jamaica completetly and according to fellow forum member lirr42, they re not getting rid of that train even after the major Jamaica work is done. So one exception to these plans
  14. I agree with you TeeLow. IMHO bobtehpanda and AndrewJC are among the best on this forum when it comes to valuable information of the overall mindset.
  15. I never said 'lowering to', I said 'make CityTicket available on weekdays as well'. If LIRR stops running trains then yes, either converting to subway or let someone else handle it (e.g. Veolia, whatever-other-company). But we're talking about their current plans, not what they might do in the far future.
  16. That's not very constructive critiscm, nor is it informational which is what this subforum's goal is. But regarding your point: I don't think they suck, but there's serious room for improvement though.
  17. If it does happen, then the scariest subway station at night will not be what it currently is anymore because ENY LIRR will then be the scariest subway station at night... Really, I don't see what benefit it'll have for the subway (aside from my little ENY joke). Sure, LIRR shuttling is expensive and stuff but I'm not sure if it will carry many customers when run as a subway... Maybe if you reopen the Woodhaven LIRR station as a subway station, but still...
  18. And besides Atlantic Ave where you can transfer to the BMT Fourth Ave line for Brooklyn service.
  19. What's preventing them is a lack of money and the fact that they're pushing SBS. Besides: you said that ridership has gone since the opening of Barclay's so I doubt the LIRR would just give away the line like that if they know they can make a lot of money on game days.
  20. Hmm, n24 I'd believe just a bit but no n22 for 2 hours on a Monday seems a bit far-fetched to me. Aside from that, NICE hasn't mentioned any disruption or so either on their Twitter. The only recent disruption was on the n4 in Baldwin 9 hours ago.
  21. But the IRT has some problems of its own already. A new branch from Jamaica to Atlantic Ave doesn't really help the current , and riders who need more service...
  22. Not trying to bash or anything but I wonder why this is considered more helpful and informative than my n21 post... Exactly. Thanks for acknowledging that. Btw, since like I said earlier we're talking to Transdev *again* in February or March about those too-tight-schedules, is there anything else I can bring to the table? We're not focussing on improving NICE since that's out of our league (except for those too-tight-schedules because that's a general Transdev thing which also happens to be a problem at NICE), but hey, since we're there anyway I can always bring something up or at least drop off a short note with some of your concerns
  23. So you're actually saying you don't want to stimulate NICE bus ridership??? Because to me it seems profitable for NICE if more people take a bus out of Hempstead (whichever one they feel like taking to Jamaica) or the n1 out of the area near Far Rock LIRR. Seems like a win for everybody to me. CTZ gets more commuters using LIRR and NICE gets more passengers from Nassau to CTZ.
  24. @T To Dyre Ave: Exacly! My idea is to have the CityTicket on weekdays. You're the first one to get my idea, thanks a bunch!
  25. If you really are online as much as you say then why are you telling me this? Because I did ask him a few times this year why he doesn't apply for a job at NICE. Like I said before: that s not NICE's fault, Transdev is the one who wants their companies to fit the schedules so tightly that it's almost not doable. We discussed it with Transdev before but they don't really see the problem. So we're gonna discuss it with them again in February or March (no exact date set yet).
