lol, what if a person who never heard of the movie or never knew that train was used in it saw that cab?

It's quite obscure, actually. Where it is, someone could mistake it for a crack or something.

I think it's a shame they had to restore it to original condition. But oh well.

Right! They should've kept the car as it was in the movie and title it R162, but then again it stands out... Those LEDs in the inside looked too fake!

never heard word call scrapping the R62A #2079.

if R62A #2079 was used in the new movie taking of pelham movie 123.

#2079 got into bad condition , the interior got damage and the whole body.

how about scrapping the #2079.

(MTA) have enough R62A to put into service.

(NYCT) have 315 R62 and 824 R62A. if #2079 were to be scrapped

due to it mid carbon body and have been damaged and it was use

in the movie. so. still there enough R62A single to run on

(7). why would they use #2079 in taking pelham movie.

and the mid carbon body have been damage. so this

consideration i think scrapping the #2079 need to be done.

i would never take a film or make a movie

that maybe (NYCT) new york city subway car will be use

in the movie.

There was no damage at all to the car. Where did you hear that?

And using real subway cars contributes to the realism; I don't see why a film wouldn't use real subway cars in the movie.

what? you're not making any sense. what is a "mid carbon body damage?" and if there was any kind of irrepairable damage that would cause the car to need to be scrapped they wouldn't have put it in the movie first. It was modified to look like a new tech because they needed a car capable of running as a single so that the movie script would work mechanically, but looking like a new tech because that's what the (6) runs so it makes the movie "believable" and better. If they used old redbirds for the movie, people that ride that line would even scratch their heads (trust me, they would).

NYC Subway cars are used for NYC look and feel because it is more realistic. Watch the TV remake of Pelham 123 from the late 90's and tell me if that looks like New York (filmed in Toronto). Guarantee the answer is no.
