Afternoon Members. As some of you were aware, I've been away at school in Arizona since mid-September; now that my semester has ended, Im back in New York for the time being. Heres some "Breaking The Ice" stuff , from this morning.

 

The Brighton Line with some Coney Island thrown in, on this Chilly Sunday Morning.:D

Thanks Boys... Thanks for the welcome back Busfan:D cold here though hehe

 

Anyways, Ocean Parkway I see is still going under some major reconstruction. The platform edges and tops are all broken up, and looks like will be re-concreted too. The Express tracks Are in fact laid down and cemented in photos 2 and 3. However, in photo 4, we still can observe that the tracks over the Brighton El, and into Ocean Parkway have not yet been laid. I believe they still must paint the top of the el in that area. Otherwise its coming along great, and boy those 60 foot cars make ALOT :D of noise while traveling over the concrete viaduct. Even though 95% of the newly reconstructed local tracks have been welded, those R40M'S rumble extremely loud through the station, I missed that noise though;)

Cool photos Zach! You should've went into Manhattan and ride the holiday special. Quite a few ppl there. Next week, lots more ppl coming down.

 

 

Thanks Pablo. I had to finish up homework and email it across the country or else I was thinking about joining the R9 Trip. Maybe next weekend.

nice pics you even took a pic of brighton beach a station i use daily oh did you get to see the r160s on the n at sillwell.

 

Brighton Beach and Ocean Parkway are my home stops. I have plenty of shots of 160s on the Nancy from this past Summer.
