R32 3348 Posted October 27, 2009 Share #3 Posted October 27, 2009 Too early to tell. 1101-1250, 1301-1625 and 1651-2475 are all taken up so I doubt it will be a 1000.
Fresh Pond Posted October 27, 2009 Share #4 Posted October 27, 2009 Well once all the SMEEs are gone (by the time the R188s comes in {hopefully}) the numbers that'll be available is 3000-4999 so they can shoot for the stars with the numbers lol. (I skipped 2925-2999 cuz it runs into the R68 {it stops at 2924} and 5000 cuz the R68A starts at 5001)
LRG Posted October 27, 2009 Share #5 Posted October 27, 2009 It all depends on what number slots are available. The 3000 and 4000 slots will be entirely open for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to use the three-digit number slots again (e.g. 555 or something like that).

IMO they should have done that with the R62/A and R142/A numbers so that they would be more consistent. If the R62's were 1301-1625, the R62A's could have been 1626-2450. The R68's could have been 2451-2874. As for the R142/A's, they could have been numbered 6301-7330, and the R142A's could have been numbered 7331-7930. There would have been no need for the 1101-1250 series (or, if this was due to differences in times when the cars were ordered they could have done the same, but the 1100's could be renumbered to 7181-7210 and 7811-7930). S78 via Hylan Posted October 28, 2009 Share #7 Posted October 28, 2009 If the R188's do come, I also think that 3000/4000 series would work once all the SMEE's are gone.

I thought of another thing...if they order a little bit of cars (possibility) they can number them right between the R142A & the R143 (#'s 7811-8100)
