LRG Posted November 23, 2009 Share #4 Posted November 23, 2009 Nice job with the signs, and the replicas of the number plates! I'm guessing that the green strip means the car is based out of Jamaica, the red for CI, and the blue for ENY.
MattTrain Posted November 23, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted November 23, 2009 Nice job with the signs, and the replicas of the number plates! I'm guessing that the green strip means the car is based out of Jamaica, the red for CI, and the blue for ENY. Thank you. You just read my mind about those number plates with the colored stickers. I got the idea of placing colored stickers because the IRT car numbers have them. The BMT/IND used to have them too. I did see a blue sticker on the R160 cars based out of ENY but they were circles, not rectangles.

CenSin Posted November 23, 2009 Share #7 Posted November 23, 2009 You have the wrong font for the bullets. Try Helvetica and Akzidenz-Grotesk. I've gotten results that are practically identical to the ones used by the MTA.
MattTrain Posted November 24, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted November 24, 2009 they look great  Thank you very much. You have the wrong font for the bullets. Try Helvetica and Akzidenz-Grotesk. I've gotten results that are practically identical to the ones used by the MTA. I used the Arian Font. Do you know where I can get those fonts you mentioned? CenSin Posted November 24, 2009 Share #11 Posted November 24, 2009 I used the Arian Font. Do you know where I can get those fonts you mentioned? You mean… other than buying them from a font foundry?
