New NJ Transit Middletown and Hoboken NJ

I have been very busy the past few weeks. I went to Hoboken on Christmas Eve and took some photos.

The day after Christmas I drove to Middletown NJ on the North Jersey Coast Line and took some photos there for the first time.

Do you know why the 0 point is the Raritan River bridge instead of where it branches off the NEC?

I believe it goes back the Days of the NY&LB when CNJ and PRR shared the line.

I photographed the trains just north of the Middletown Station near the signals. The commuter parking lot is near by.

Some good photos there Eric. I need to check out Middletown soon. Plus it ain't too far from Matawan so I can definitely do it. There's just so many places on the :njc: that I have not gone to yet to photograph. Too many.

Middletown is 2 stations south of Aberdeen/Matawan.

 

Aberdeen/Matawan is railroad Milepost 6.9
