Bracamonte Posted November 18, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 18, 2010 Just curious. How come the M2's, M4's and M6's are the only Metro North fleet to still retain the old "Metro North Commuter Railroad" logos along with the "M" logo?

St Louis Car 09 Posted November 19, 2010 Share #3 Posted November 19, 2010 Because CDOT doesn't want to pay for cosmetic body work.Especially since most of these cars are going to see the scrap yard within the next year or two;thanks to the M8`s. N-Trizzy2609 Posted November 27, 2010 Share #6 Posted November 27, 2010 Just curious. How come the M2's, M4's and M6's are the only Metro North fleet to still retain the old "Metro North Commuter Railroad" logos along with the "M" logo? The 4/6's that still rock the dark blue circle 'M' haven't gotten to the overhaul point being how new they are. (1988-1990 and 1994-1996 respectively.) By 2015 the M4s should be repainted to match the M2s. By then of course, there be M8s running so it's not going to matter.
