You're sure it was more than 50 years?

 

First flight was in 1954 and has been in continuous production/service with the USAF since that time.

You got me on this one!

 

I believe that would be the B-52 Bomber.

 

Can't be. The first flight of the B-52, then known as the XB-52 was in 1952. IIRC "BUFF" production ended in the 1962.

OMFG! If my professors, and drill instructors knew I couldn't answer this they would have a cow! I know exactly what it is! It's still in production to this day and holds the title as longest in production aircraft ever!:cool:
