LRG Posted June 14, 2011 Share #2 Posted June 14, 2011 Pretty cool! Can you do the one that reflects overnight service? And if possible can you take any requests?

Via Garibaldi 8 Posted June 14, 2011 Share #4 Posted June 14, 2011 Hmm.... I LIKE it! Now we just need some express bus signs.... Alll righttt....
Amtrak7 Posted June 14, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted June 14, 2011 Here's another one with an express route: Requests will be taken with the following restrictions: -Max of 5 panels. -Each panel has one service. -Only standard, LTD, and express. No SBS, overnight, or school trippers. -No non-MTA bus services on the sign (the green on white). -You MUST SPECIFY routes and intersection. If you want me to make an overnight, take a picture of one, preferably straight-on and I'll see what I can do.
LRG Posted June 14, 2011 Share #6 Posted June 14, 2011 You can use this photo as a guide for making an overnight bus sign (from Google search): I'd like the following request. S78 (regular service, blue background): Tottenville S79 (overnight service, black background): Eltingville S79 (Limited-Stop service, purple background): Staten Island Mall S79A (regular service, blue background): Staten Island Mall Express (express service, green background): Drop Off Only Location: Midland Av/Hylan Bl Looking forward to the sign. Via Garibaldi 8 Posted June 14, 2011 Share #10 Posted June 14, 2011 @Amtrak... It's supposed to say "EXPRESS" not NYCT.
LRG Posted June 14, 2011 Share #11 Posted June 14, 2011 Nice, but you made a mistake...the night service is for the S79, not the S78. Otherwise everything else looks ok. @via the Express really doesn't matter as some signs say NYCT, so it's cool.

Amtrak7 Posted June 14, 2011 Author Share #13 Posted June 14, 2011 @Amtrak... It's supposed to say "EXPRESS" not NYCT. Why does "NYCT" "DROP OFF ONLY" seem very familiar? Maybe I'm thinking of a different sign.
LRG Posted June 14, 2011 Share #14 Posted June 14, 2011 Um, the night service is supposed to say S79....

Via Garibaldi 8 Posted June 14, 2011 Share #16 Posted June 14, 2011 Why does "NYCT" "DROP OFF ONLY" seem very familiar? Maybe I'm thinking of a different sign. Because both are used. I assumed LRG wanted the sign to say "EXPRESS" because that's what he wrote. I've seen both on Staten Island in particular when there are a lot of express buses that stop at one stop. I wish they went back to listing all of the express buses at one stop.

Amtrak7 Posted June 14, 2011 Author Share #23 Posted June 14, 2011 It's not very legible, but here you go: Coneyislandav7: I can't make SBS, so I'll make it a LTD. Note that it'll be smaller text.
Amtrak7 Posted June 14, 2011 Author Share #24 Posted June 14, 2011 To make it fit, I decided to non-proportionally shrink the text rather than play with font sizes.
