A riot near 66th St. - Lincoln Center has closed the station due to big riot crowds. What would you do?

(1) trains bypass the 66th Street - Lincoln Center Station in both directions.

HOW?

There IS a way...

Via Queensboro Plaza Interlocking, then via 60th Street Tunnel to 57th St-7th Ave, reverse to Lexington Avenue - 63rd Street, then via the (F) to Lower East Side-2nd Avenue, then via CPW/Concourse to the Concourse Yard, then via Woodlawn Line to 125th Street - Lexington Avenue.

But that's too long and complicated to get by, so yea, HOW?

A structural problem was found at Brighton Beach station that would take about 4 years to fix. Thus, the station and tracks have to be wholly demolished. What would you do to the  (B)(Q)

This would involve more than the (B) and (Q):

New crossovers would be built leading into the Sheepshead Bay and Ocean Parkway stations to allow them to be used as a terminals.  Until those can be finished:

(B) and (Q) terminate at Kings Highway.  Special single-track shuttle train operates on Manhattan-bound local track in both directions between Kings Highway and Sheepshead Bay.

(N) runs through Coney Island and terminates on Coney Island-bound (Q) platform at West 8th Street with single-track shuttle from West 8th Street to Ocean Parkway on Manhattan-bound (Q) track.

Shuttle buses run West 8th Street-Kings Highway

Once track crossovers are ready at Ocean Parkway and Sheepshead Bay:

(B) and (Q) terminate at Sheepshead Bay

(N) runs through Coney Island to Ocean Parkway, where it terminates.

Shuttle bus runs between Ocean Parkway and Sheepshead Bay, stopping at Brighton Beach.

(B) routed to Bay Parkway (West End) or Prospect Park (Brighton).

Shuttle buses between Kings Hwy and Coney Island provided or use the B68 at Coney Island Avenue.

It's been a while for me and this foamfest...

Due to signal problems, switches at West 4th Street are stuck in the straight postion. This means all trains passing on the local track must pass 6th Avenue --> 8th Avenue northbound, and 8th Avenue --> 6th Avenue southbound. Use track maps to your benefit, and good luck.

The switches north of the station are unaffected.

(A)-Local between W 4 and Jay St

(C)-via 6 Av to Jay St

(E)-terminates at 2 Av

(B)(D)-Local to 34 St

(F) via (E) to Roosevelt

(M) via 8 Av to 5 Av

149 St-Grand Concourse is impassible due to a stalled train. Reroute the (2)(4)(5)

Can't run trains on those local tracks unless their switching between 8th and 6th Avenues.

(E) runs via 63rd Street, 6th Av local to West 4th then normal

(F) runs via 53rd Street, 8th Av local to West 4th, then normal

(M) runs via 8th Av local between West 4th and 53rd, with some trains turning at Broad Street (to avoid delays)

The Chrystie Street Connection cannot be used due to a structural problem that will be fixed for about 5 years. Where would the  (M) go without a connection to the Sixth Avenue Line towards Forest Hills?

This will also affect the (B)(D)

(B) trains run from Bedford/145th to W4

(D) trains run from 205th to W4 (some trains to Broadway-Lafyette during rush)

(M) trains run from Metro Ave to Coney Island via West End, all times.

<Q> service restored
