Oh yeah, it's back, baby!

I want both of these routes on the same map, I'll request a few like these, one at a time though.

The map is here, all you need to do is make it into an MTA style map.

The route is the B40, from Greenpoint to Midwood.

https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=213458373195564989412.0004c1365e65b599ce6b9&msa=0&ll=40.642615,-73.882713&spn=0.150834,0.307274

Forgive me if I am a bit hasty, but I don't really expect this to take that long.

Time to revive this thread by doing a couple of things!

Firstly, there was one request from TrainInfinity from earlier in this topic. He requested a pic of his version of the M9, from Battery Park City/South Ferry to Midtown and 50th Street.

Dmouse, I decided to complete his request.

So, here it is!

M9_request_revised.png

Here's the link to the PDF.

And not to upload some good old bus map routes back in the good old days! :D

BM10_BM11_BM15.png

Courtesy of Far Rock Depot's pictures from this thread, the BM10, BM11, and BM15 are the old BM expresses from Metro Apple Express, which went defunct not long after the 1995 map was published. The rectangle you see is the fantasy symbol for the Metro Apple Express.

Below is the PDF viewing of the map:

https://docs.google....YzUzODdmMDFkOTg

Here is the main page, where you can download it.

Furthermore, I got written consent from dmouse to help out in the requests. I'll be happy to do any request from any MTA bus map from the five boroughs (as well as Nassau county). While working on various map routes on my will, I'll show the symbols and how I work.

Bus-Map-Symbols2.png

The PDF and SVG links.

Instead of seven colors, what I currently have here are ten colors. Eight of them are official (this includes lilac and its tint, which you can find on the front and back of the Nassau maps). The two colors on top, magenta and brown, are fantasy.

And now the symbols, beginning from the left and ending to the right. Any that is fantasy will be underlined.

1. Full-time terminal

2. Part-time terminal

3. Limited stop

4. Express stop
, pick-up option only

5. Select Bus Service stop.

6. One way direction.

7. The three rounded squares:
MTA
NYCT
,
MTA
Bus Company, and any company that doesn't use any of the other aforementioned symbols.

8. The two circles:
MTA
Bus Company and Queens Surface Corporation. I'm using this for Queens Surface Corporation only.

9. The two pentagons (
including part-time signal
): No service on Saturday and/or Sunday. For personal reasons,
I'm personally going to use this for New York Bus Service only
.

10. The two vertical rectangles: Long Island Bus or Nassau Inter-County Express.

11. The two (
including part-time
) horizonal squared ovals: Command Bus Company.

12. The two rounded corner diamonds: Green Bus Lines.

13. The two horizontal ovals: Triboro Coach.

14. The two pointed triangles: Jamaica Buses, Inc.

15.
The two vertical ovals: Private Transportation Corporation (a.k.a., B110).

16. The two hexagons: Bee-Line Bus (for me,
includes Liberty Lines Express.
)

17.
The two horizontal rectangles: Metro Apple Express.

18. The two rounded triangles (one of them
the part-time symbol
): Atlantic Express.

19. The darker lines are full-time, with the part-time line in a smaller point size and in a tint.

20.
The first batch of dashed lines is my version of the no-stop service
, and the second batch is the official strip of no-stop service.

21. In between my version and the
MTA
's version of no-stop service is the multi-route terminal box. Depending on the request, how many lines you request, and how compact the space is, I may use it.

22. The official Select Bus Service logo.

If you request to me, give me the following:

1. The route prefix and number (plus its suffix if you desire to include it). If your route has more than one prefix (i.e., BxM6, BQM1, QM1A, BM3, or QBx1), please write that. If the route prefix matches the bus map, the prefix will be omitted like what you see on the official
MTA
bus maps.

2. The route color.

3. Whether the route is part-time or full-time. Not indicating otherwise will make me assume the route is full-time.

4. The specific map that you want me to draw the route on (whether it's The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Nassau, Queens, or Staten Island). I will only be drawing your line on
one
map only. If you want me to draw your route for more than one map, I will choose one of the maps I'll draw on, and I'll place your request for the next round.

5. The official company, either active or defunct. Any company that is fantasy or not labeled in my list will be marked with the default square symbol. Not indicating any company will result in me labeling the route with the default rounded square.

6. The
complete
turn-by-turn direction, including terminals (plus any possible part-time directions and/or part-time terminals if you desire). If the route is a loop, please let me know in your post.

7. If it's a limited,
express
, and/or Select Bus Service, let me know where the stops are.

a. If it's
express
, the stops are
only
to pick up passengers. Any drop-off-only stops will not be labeled.

To make it fair and give other users the option, I'm only doing three bus routes per person (I may allow another if the route is simple and easy to complete). If you have multiple routes for the same map, I'll be merging them unless you tell me not to. Any new request will be on a clean map unless you want me to merge them. To keep myself organized, I will accept requests from no more than five people at a time (basically, no less than five routes and no more than fifteen unless indicated otherwise). Once all of the requests are fulfilled, I will re-open the slots for more.

Woo! Thanks you soo much! I thought I would never get it, but I did!

You're very much welcome. :D Glad to have helped. :D

Btw, it says you need permission to access them.

I think it's because you need a GMail account to access them.

If not, https://sites.google...tasy-bus-routes <--- I think this will help. Click on the svg and pdfs for "MTA Bus Map Symbols," the picture for the preview and the down arrows to download them. The PDFs are only accessible for Illustrator CS4 and higher, while SVGs are for CS3 and higher.

EDIT: Found out the issue. The links were set to private by default. I changed the setting to "Public."
