Question to all MTA operators

I heard something, I just need to know if it's true or not

I have a long time to go till I retire about 17 years to go

But I heard when you retire from MTAB they take your pass away unlike T.A. Which they get the red pass for life

Is there anyone who can shed light on this?

This might be an uninformed opinion, but as an outsider, I don't see the appeal if you live so far away and you dont even visit the NYC area.

I am on the list for C/R, and a lot of things can happen in 25 years, so let's see where the stars align...

When i was laid off due to the budget cuts and they took my pass i was so upset that i had to pay the fare. I guess it a sense of entitlement. no worries people i did not beat the fare and the operator asked my why i paid ( he seen me in the depot a few time) I told him it the right thing to do.
