"In addition, due to marine traffic affecting the Broadway Bridge, there is no 1.gif train service in both directions between the 215th Street Station and the 225th Street Station.

As an alternate customers are advised to used the Bx9 bus running along Broadway to the Kingsbridge Road Stations on the 4.gif and d.gif trains for service to and from the Bronx.

Please expect delays in 1.gif train service at this time"

When is the bridge going to be up? This means there's gonna be alot of traffic in some areas and I have a feeling they're either gonna cancel service on the Bx7/20 all day or split it like the (1). Broadway is gonna be something when this happens..

This is why the bridge was up and why the MTA put out a service alert in case anyone hasn't figured it out yet. Yes the barge was on the move up the Harlem River under the raised Broadway Bridge and down the Hudson River and then on to their final resting place.

Thats a great shot Harry! I think the little boat that was running along side the barge gave it a nice touch to the photo.

I will be taking the Bx7 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. from 181st Street in Washington Heights to 252nd Street in Riverdale from now through August 21.

 

I'll have to just wait and see how it goes.
