Fred G 63 Posted August 29, 2008 Share #1 Posted August 29, 2008 Yeah, yeah, another weekday trip into the city. This time it was to meet some friends to chase endangered species subway cars (more about that later). First a coupla MN pics to warm up with and then we can move over to the Subway section. Haha, we know where this is going. Don't tempt me, mama:D Ok, I gave in to temptation and here we are catching the local. Catenary work at Rowayton Curved Catenary at Glenbrook. They installed these over a really short stretch as an experiment. Too bad, I think they look really cool. As you can see, they're being replaced. Coming into Stamford, where I switched trains and lost my RFW. That side window isn't quite the same but it will do. Next time you hear from me, it'll be in the Subway section. Thanks for looking at my photos.

Fred G 63 Posted August 29, 2008 Author Share #5 Posted August 29, 2008 Nice photos! So that's where the SAS $ is going! - LOL, yeah it's the catenary that ate second avenue REALLY great shots, I'm starting to like those M2s or whatever M they are lol Yeah, I call 'em M2/4/6 sometimes. The M6's are easy to tell: the numbers are all in the 9000 range and they're triplets while the M2 and M4's are pairs. I'll look up in my stuff where there's a grouping of them by car number. Sweet awesomeness! Thanks so much, Pablo!
