Harry Posted May 21, 2014 Share #1 Posted May 21, 2014 The security chief for the MTA’s subway and bus systems was forced to resign amid an investigation into nepotism and cronyism under his command, sources told the Daily News. Vincent DeMarino quit his $162,000-a-year post on Friday after being summoned to an unexpected meeting in the office of NYC Transit division President Carmen Bianco, sources in the security department said. “He did not want to go,” one department source said of DeMarino’s resignation. “He was told to go.” Bianco then notified security department staff — the very people DeMarino supervised as a NYC Transit vice president — that he “will not be permitted access to NYC Transit facilities,” according to a memo obtained by The News.
