mfs NJT459 Posted August 14, 2015 Share #1 Posted August 14, 2015 Amtrak will be utilizing NJT and MARC train sets and run them on the NEC as "Event Extras." Those event extras will also be making an extra stop at Hamilton NJT station. Event Extras running between NYC and Philly will be NJT's, MARC sets will be for trips between DC and Philly NEC Schedule: http://www.amtrak.com/ccurl/893/771/WMOF-W02,0.pdf Keystone Schedule: http://www.amtrak.com/ccurl/282/302/WMOF-W10.pdf

DaTransitMan4608 Posted August 14, 2015 Share #3 Posted August 14, 2015 Luckily I booked my Acela ticket for Saturday TWO months in advance. I'm not even going to see the pope. That would've been a cool trip I got to see him though... I hope NJT riders wouldn't get confuse.I hope for theirs and NJT's sake they don't either. Because then they're gonna blindly hop on an Amtrak supplemental train without reading the signs, end up in Philly, and then whine about "incompetent" NJT is. QM1to6Ave Posted August 16, 2015 Share #5 Posted August 16, 2015 Why doesn't Amtrak have enough extra train sets on hand? I'd imagine they would have extra train sets somewhere that could w brought over
mfs NJT459 Posted September 24, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted September 24, 2015 It doesn't look like those commuter train sets from NJT/MARC will be needed, according to the website, none of the Amtrak trains to Philadelphia from DC, NYC, and Harrisburg are sold out One Keystone train will make a stop at Hamilton NJT station both directions, both days train 871 at 8:57am and 866 at 11:10pm
