Hey everyone,

I recently was invited to begin the preemployment process down on Livingston street, I was there all day! But from what I feel I didn’t do much but give in the paperwork that they needed my social birth certificate diplomas, license and application. After handing in all that I then waited to take a drug test which took forever. By the time I reached the lab everyone in the front area was gone, and I was never told what else I had to do, I was not sure if I had to come back the next day to continue the process or just wait for them to call or email, but basically that’s what I’ve been doing is just waiting, and it’s been about a month. I tried calling and e and have not gotten thru to anyone. Should I go back out to Livingston street and find out in person?, I feel like what if I messed up and didn’t come back up and missed my opportunity. Please help if anyone has any info.

People are saying that they will be hiring for a while. Don’t know how true that is. But hopefully.

Probably within a month or two, they're around the 2200's right now.

So I’m in the 24xx’s should be within a couple of weeks? Hopefully

Probably, while I can't give you an exact time frame, my best guess would be within a few weeks to a month.

So I emailed the people in the offices and they say that the list is in the 19xx’s? So they are wrong?

I'm not sure how long ago they told you that, for pre-employment they seem to be in the 21/2200's right now, maybe for final/medical they're only in the 1900's.

They emailed me back today. So that’s how it works. I thought once you get drug tested and everything that you get hired pretty much soon after.

It was great having Jackson with otj. Now working maintenance nights so far and it’s been very interesting. Still feel like I got a lot to learn but like with everything, experience comes with time.

Is the job ridiculously hard? Or with everyone helping out it’s not that bad?

Free on the LIRR and MNRR. Show your pass to the conductor during collection.

That’s nice too. How long do they cal you back after pre employment? I’m in the 24xx’s just waiting for them to call for pre employment. Heard there in the 21/2200’s.

@Zoey do you know where they are in the hiring as far as list number? I heard they were in the 21/2200’s for pre employment.

No idea but I wouldn’t be surprised there are some 1900’s at 248 right now who will start training this Monday. We went in ojt with a class that had two weeks left.. once we made our two weeks, a new class joined us. We just left and a new class will be joining the one that joined us before we graduated so classes are rolling over and haven’t stopped yet
