checkmatechamp13 Posted June 8, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 8, 2018 The 65/66 change is specially good IMO. I always thought more of the routes that pass through the Broad/Market intersection should actually go to Newark Penn if possible.
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted June 11, 2018 Share #3 Posted June 11, 2018 The 65/66 schedule is out: http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/upcoming/T1065.pdf All 66 trips now go to Mountainside on weekends (previously there was no midday service on Saturdays, and limited Sunday service). Service will be reduced to every 70 minutes on though.
go25 Posted June 16, 2018 Share #4 Posted June 16, 2018 Seems like they are cutting some trips on the 66 , in my opinion.

The extension of all trips to Mountainside is offset by the increase in headways. For Mountainside folks, it's still more service than they currently have (but for everyone further up the line, they'll have to readjust). However, you would think that there would be a greater increase in weekday service with the 66X trips, but it turns out that's not the case. I actually counted the amount of trips (in each direction) and this is what it comes down to: Weekdays: Current Trips: 39 Future Trips: 40 Saturdays: Current Trips: 18 Future Trips: 16 Sundays: Current Trips: 17 Future Trips: 16 NB / 15 SB Turns out for the weekday schedule, some 66 trips are just being converted into 66X trips. I guess since the 59 also runs down that segment, it won't be such a disaster.
B35 via Church Posted June 17, 2018 Share #6 Posted June 17, 2018 There's a reason #119's are getting slammed & the portion north of JSQ (not inclusive) has a lot to do with it.... #123 wastes too much time in Union City....
