In 2000 the (MTA) placed an order for five RTS Hybrids to be numbered 6360-64. 6360 and 6361 were the opnly ones actually built, however only 6360 ran in service. That bus was retired after only a few months. The (MTA) also tested an RTS Hybrid numbered 9900 in 1997.

The hybrid system didn't work out that well.

It was also largely a demo order.

However, did this bus use a similar system that NJ Transit would put in 3 RTSs two years later?
