nycbusfan Posted May 1, 2009 Share #3 Posted May 1, 2009 In 2000 the placed an order for five RTS Hybrids to be numbered 6360-64. 6360 and 6361 were the opnly ones actually built, however only 6360 ran in service. That bus was retired after only a few months. The also tested an RTS Hybrid numbered 9900 in 1997.

Maserati7200 Posted May 1, 2009 Share #5 Posted May 1, 2009 Why would they retire a bus that was less than a year old?
armax1980 Posted May 1, 2009 Share #6 Posted May 1, 2009 The hybrid system didn't work out that well.
aemoreira81 Posted May 1, 2009 Share #7 Posted May 1, 2009 The hybrid system didn't work out that well. It was also largely a demo order. However, did this bus use a similar system that NJ Transit would put in 3 RTSs two years later?
